Chapter 13 – What if You're Pregnant?!

Joyce stormed into the house, banging the door shut and tossing her bag onto the floor carelessly.

“Mum!” She screamed, rushing to her mother's room, tears welling up in her eyes.

“Mum!” She shouted as she barged into the room.

But her mother was nowhere in sight. She gave a big sniff as she struggled to hold her tears at bay, stalking to the bathroom to check if her mother was there.

“Mum?” She wailed as she pushed open the door and was greeted with an empty bathroom.

She could no longer hold it back, she burst into tears and hurried out of the room to check for her mother elsewhere.

She checked the kitchen, went out to the garden and finally nearly killed the guards.

“We don't know where she went madam!” The gate guard whose shirt collar she'd hijacked shrieked.

Joyce’s senses returned and she decided it wasn't worth losing her dignity over.

She trudged back inside with her tear streaked face and sat on a sofa to cry.

Her day had been nothing short of horrible. She had been unable t
