All that was on Rafael's mind at that moment was how to get back to the point where he had his first battle with the beasts on his return to earth but the beast couldn't just let it's meal get away just like that so for every step he took backwards the beast took two.He evaded the beasts attack as much as he could it was still almost impossible for him to make it out of the woods. He tried to run once more but instead of chasing after him the beast blocked his path. Nothing seemed to be working even running away."Where is the Catie-batie now that I need it most?" Rafael wondered as cold sweat broke out trickled down his face. The "Catie-batie was able to defeat beasts stringer than it was by attacking their eyes. Perhaps that could work for me." He reasoned while dodging the attacks that came his way.He readied his fist and aimed for the beasts eye but unfortunately his fists missed it's targets by few centimeters; The beast only retracted a little and whined but the next moment it
He turned to the beast which was coming steadily towards him and he shivered in fright. He was so sure that the beast to would utterly destroy him if it were to get very close to h I'm m but there was almost nothing he could do. He tried to atleast move a step but his body lacked enough energy to obey his commands. He doubted if there was anything that could save him at that moment. He tried to scream as much as he can but his voice which was always handy also failed to listen to his command he felt very helpless and felt like his consciousness was slipping away But there was still nothing he could do other than being in the knows that his end has come and would be finalized soon."Is there anything you can do?" He asked Regin though he already doubted the possibility as he knew that Regin shared his health and exhaustion."I am as helpless as you are." Even the prideful Regin agreed. "Isn't it better you fall off the chair and let the empty body witness it's consumption?" Regin sugg
It felt good slashing the throat of the beast which have caused him so much pain but slashing it was not all. The core was the real trophy given to anyone who is able to kill a beast but he didn't think he deserved it. It is factual that if it was not for him bursting the beasts eyes his servant beast wouldn't have been able to kill it but it was also factual that if it didn't come at the right time he would have been dead.He really needed to level up once more but his conscience was already dissuading him from taking the core for himself even before he placed his hands in the beast to extract it's core. Immediately the beasts breathed it's last, he received a notification. [Level up! Congratulations][Transformation begins]First he felt and itching sensation move through his body immediately the itching sensation increased and was replaced by pain which grew to an extent that it seemed to into inner most cell of each of his marrow and the cores and exact centre of of all his organs
Asides Rafael's sinister thoughts he had more reasons for wanting to spar with Regin. Since he knew he would be stronger than Regin and it would not be difficult to make him display the best of his moves and skills. Perhaps it will make him remember fighting skills and many other things he lost when they got divided and also learn new ones. As of now, his only outstanding move which he could not really point accurately how he came to learn was the Moon walk evasive steps which made him blur f on the sight of onlookers and reappear few distance away.Regin was ashamed when he Rafael saw how helpless he was before the beast which he claimed he would deal with but it was as though luck was on his side and has given him another opportunity to prove himself."Show me what you got!" Regin clapped and took a fighting stance. Rafael normally hated to attack first but he happily conceded to his request and with the joy flowing out from his heart propelling him and burning off backwards from ev
Rafael collected the cores from other beast he killed previously and added it to his stats. Since he did not have any reasons to show preference to any stat over the other, he decided to make all his stats equipment equal thus adding more stat points to his strength and agility.[Name: Rafael][Race:: ???][Class: Digitalized][Strength: 39][Stamina: 40][Agility: 40][Exp: 48/100][Health 97][Tips][Give yourself a race name. A being like you have never existed]."What is wrong with you catie-batie?" He wondered. His heart servant was dancing with his legs like an excited child. He believed that the beasts unrest had a lot more meaning attached to it than it seemed.[A pet contract is being offered to you by a beast] [Accept] [Reject]Before this Rafael kept wondering if there was a way to build more trust with the beast that wanted to be his but could not find an immediate answer. It came as w relief to him.His system notified him even before a formless flame like material seeped
Rafael was too occupied with his fight to notice that there was another huge fight going on inside the academy. When he heard the beast roars and growls all around, he had only guessed that a good number of beasts were around the glabour attacking it as they wanted to pull it down and not wanting the opportunity to kill many of the inverse army to go wasted some people were sent outside the academy to destroy them just before he arrived but at that moment, his assumption made less sense even to himself. If not in a real emergency situation how would have Levi been the one passing an announcement from the principal office just as Tilas always did. It also did not make sense that all Dr Sydney wanted his team to do was to continuously scratch the glabour with their fingers till it breaks or tears open and if that was really the case then of course it was no emergency as he would brutally fail. Rafael had heard stories of many attacks on the glabour by the inverse army where it was rumo
Rafael who was inside shook his head sadly. He imagined the pains the inexperienced Regin was although he still had some resentment towards him he felt bad for himself and pity for the inexperienced Regin It was indeed a very sad thing that his ones only friend had forgotten about him. Jerry also nursed similar feelings. He knew it would be impossible to explain to Levi that there was a time they were teleported to another planet. He also wondered if Erica had forgotten already.Regin stood up abruptly while Rafael jumped forward immediately to replace him."So there will never be a time we would sit together and remind ourselves of all we experienced in the gate fairy's manor" Rafael hissed. "What's the matter with you both." Levi who noticed the sudden change in countenance of his two and queried but got no good reply. He did not bother pursue the issue further.Afterwards, they helped Rafael get his luggages ready for the transition then they left the room."Let's join this queue
Although Regin did not know what Levi meant when he said he felt strange, he complied and let Rafael take over once more. At that moment, Rafael was angry at him and felt like expelling him from his body as he had made him look like nothing but a fool in the face of everyone. Imagine charging without caution at a teacher of the academy. Who in the academy wouldn't know henceforth that he attempted to fight a staff who already ranked interm Even when he was not strong enough to challenge anybody higher than him. Regin was really skilled in fighting but to a man who was many times stronger than he was, he was nothing but a piece of waste ."Thank you." He appreciated Levi for stopping Regin though he fully knew Levi would not understand the true reasons why he appreciated him. While everyone else's badges gleamed and seemed to shine more as it displayed another ranking just below the former and bolder one which displayed his ranking in the academy. His own did it bother to light up.Unk
