Clyde and his group were doing everything in their power to stop Arran from approaching the vital essence blood devouring gu while Eris and her group were trying to prevent that from happening. In order to do that they went as far as to bear the brunt of some of the attacks that were meant for Arran.
It was not only Arran's group that was suffering.
Noticing how urgent the whole affair was with Arran, Clyde and his cadets could care less about trying to fight with Arran's group and they completely gave up resisting as the lunched attacks on Arran frenziedly. This left them open and defenseless which their respective opponents took advantage of to land solid hits on them.

There are many more adventures to share with everybody. But I decided to end this book here because I felt that it had reached a mature point and it was time to evolve the story to something more. Arran was sucked away into the void fissure which closed immediately after, but not before Poltergeist had managed to latch onto his thigh for whatever reason.
