Arran was raging inside. His current feeling was as if he had just been offered a supposedly good deal, only to find out that it was actually a scam and he had been ripped off.
Thinking about how he had spent two weeks catering to the whims of a selfish and fickle creature when he could have gotten out of the sub realm with the help of the World Essence Pulse Bracers, it made Arran feel as if his life up to this point had been a waste.

As Arran was actually blaming the World Essence Pulse Bracers for making him spend two weeks in vain, it actually said something to him.
