The reality gate that was manifested in Arran's subconscious stood at a height where neither the top nor the bottom could be made out. It was as if it was blended into the space around and as it stood there the river of stars and storms of lightning served as a backdrop to enhance its magnificence.
Arran stood in front of the reality gate as he observed the phenomenon that was going on following its appearance.
Ever since the reality gate manifested stably in his subconscious, his subconscious mind had experienced a lot of changes. These changes could be said to embody the mysteries of the reality gate and its connections to the universe.
Normally whenever Arran had wanted to meditate, his subconscious mind had always been blank and without any substance. Only when Arran used his imagination to fill up his subconscious would it seem alive and not dead like it always was.
But now with the appearance of the reality gate, Arran's subconscious could be said t
"Have you already advanced as a peak Demi?"To be honest instructor Fel was very surprised by this discovery but because of her identity as an instructor, she did her best to not let it show. She could not very well display her surprise so plainly for everybody to see.Still, she asked Arran as a means of confirmation.Arran answered instructor Fel's question, "Yes I have."Instructor Fel nodded her head as she said, "This must have happened the previous night didn't it?"Arran nodded. She continued saying, "No wonder there was a commotion in the academy yesterday. It is hard to believe that all that was caused by you simply reaching the peak as he Demi. It would seem that your future achievements are truly going to be something to look forward to."After instructor Fel was done with her musings she said to Arran, "Well this is truly an occasion worth celebrating but since we do not have the time for that we can only leave that for an
While Arran was surprised by the function of the reality gate it was not like instructor Fel would wait for him to calm down. Not waiting for Arran to immerse himself in his own thoughts, instructor Fel asked, "I ask you when I say that you need to have the strength to be able to open the doors and peer into the universe's secret, what do you think I mean by that? What kind of strength do you think I refer to?"Arran took some time to think about this seriously. From the information he had which was very little Arran would have initially thought that the strength instructor Fel referred to was one's battle capabilities... that is referring to his realm... but when Arran thought about it what exactly did one's battle capabilities have to do with understanding the secrets of the universe? It was not like you were going to wrestling the secrets of the universe out of the reality gate, was it?As Arran thought about this instructor did not interrupt hi
From the open door came the figure of commander Margo who Arran had not seen for a long while now.As the figure of commander Margo came in through the door Arran could see that she was wearing a kind of ceremonial costume like the one court officials would wear when they had to attend some important function. From this Arran could tell that commander Margo was probably busy with something else before having to come here. While still having doubts about why commander Margo would be here when he was about to open his reality gate and why instructor Fel would be waiting for her, it did not stop Arran from going forward and greeting her.Arran with his shoulders raised greeted commander Margo, "Good day commander, its good to see you after such a long time."Commander Margo looked at Arran and took some time to scrutinize Arran before she replied, "Hmm, it's good to see you too. I'm very surprised by your progress in this one short month but this also makes
While instructor Fel and commander Margo were waiting anxiously for Arran to safely open his reality gate.Inside his subconscious, Arran was facing an entirely different situation.Ironically when instructor Fel and commander Margo were talking about Arran being able to open the reality gate with his own effort, Arran was only able to open the reality gate by a small crack that was only a few centimeters wide.Evidently, this was too little for anything substantial to happen but that was not the case.As soon as Arran was able to open up this small crack an aura that was very impressive and carried a sense of majesty pressed down on Arran and pushed him away from the reality gate.As the aura washed over Arran he felt like he was drowning in a vast sea at night with nothing in sight that he could hold on to to prevent himself from submerging under the sea. There was despair in Arran's heart as he felt like this was the end of the road for h
From the other side of the door, just as Arran's mother was opening the door her voice also came as she said, "Hey sport it's time to get up. Don't tell me you're already so lazy after spending a few days in the city."When Arran's mother opened the door and saw Arran awake on his bed she flashed him a very dazzling smile but when she saw the state of his room her smile immediately turned into a frown as she started berating Arran."Now you've done it! Just how many times have I told you to clean your room? This place is basically a pig sttt..."Before Arran's mother could continue scolding him, suddenly, from out of nowhere a big shadow crashed into her almost knocking the breath out of her lungs and when she finally came to her senses she saw that the big shadow was Arran who had suddenly come up to her and hugged her in a fierce manner. She was surprised. She did not know what had gotten into Arran this morning and with concern in her voice she
The thunderstorm was raging fiercely as fist-sized pieces of ice came raining down in Arran and his family along with the rest of the passersby on the street. There was chaos everywhere as people tried to find somewhere safe to hole up in. Arran and his parents were among the people that sought shelter but unlike those that were running around in a panic with no destination in mind, Arran and his parents retreated in an orderly manner that showed they had experience in unexpected disasters like this as they headed to a place they had already marked a long time ago.It didn't matter that they had left their previous life behind, it had already been a habit to seek out an escape route where ever they were, but as bizarre as it seemed no matter how they moved to avoid the hail of ice and no matter which building the family of three wanted to seek shelter in, the hail always seemed to pursue them preventing the three of them from finding safety. To top it all off, f
The events that had happened on that day were very traumatizing for Arran. He had lost both of his parents on that day to the same man and it had left Arran wallowing in a state of perpetual grief, living life like a zombie with nothing but his rage and hatred to fuel him and a single purpose to carry him through the days ahead. That purpose... to avenge the deaths of his parents and kill the man that had caused it all.The world as Arran knew it had also changed on that day as followed by what was termed as the apocalypse... the end of all things... the world welcomed a series of unexplainable and bizarre transformations.First, there was a shift in the magnetic poles of the earth which triggered a new round of continental shifts and geomorphic movements.Old continents disappeared and new ones emerged and what followed was the rapid evolution and mutations of all life forms on earth. For a time it looked like a second round of the apocalyp
Being weak feels pathetic!Arran's words were cold and ruthless as if with those words he was scolding himself for being too weak and helpless.Arran turned to focus his cold gaze on the shadowy man and reflected in his eyes was a silent chill that froze the shadowy man in place.Wherever Arran looked past everything froze until all the sounds of explosions, of the hail falling, and of the creatures roaring aloud in a frenzy faded away to become no more than background noise.Once everything had faded into the background, Arran turned to look back at the shadowy man whose face could not be seen clearly but carried a resemblance to a mortal enemy of Arran's and he asked, "Are you not going to end it here?"As if he had been released by an invisible binding, the shadowy man breathed heavily and he looked at Arran and asked, "What do you mean by that?""Do you want to end the grudges between us now?""I'll tell you there is no hope of th
