Crossing 40000 kilometers physically was a daunting task for the average person. But for beings like Arran, it was a walk in the park. That being the case, it still took the group more than a few hours to arrive on Earth.

It would have taken less time had Arran, and the others used their full power to travel. As the seven hovered just above the threshold of Earth’s atmosphere, they each looked down at the medium-sized planet that was their destination.

At this distance, it was easy to observe what was going on inside with their very eyes, and what they saw left them with quite a lot to think about.

Looking at Earth from space, its appearance fits the description of it that was given without showing any discrepancies whatsoever. But when you look inside, you would be shocked to discover something completely unexpected.

Beyond Earth’s atmosphere was a planet that had been abnormally expanded beyond what its physical limits suggested. The surface area of the planet was more than twice as

Descending into the planet was easy and with their powers wholly sealed to the maximum, allowing only a bit to sustain themselves, the group didn’t draw any attention to themselves either from the living beings below or the planet's will. The group's path led them to cross the ocean below them to the south. That was where the signal they picked up originated from, which meant they were likely to see signs of human settlement in that region. One thing that should be noted is that technology was seemingly completely unaffected on the planet with its erratically changing laws. This is because unlike nomological powers resulting from transcendent laws, technology fell into a completely different system of power that did not rely on transcendent laws to operate. Technology was independent of abstract laws that govern transcendent power, relying instead on the realistic study of mundane laws. This ensured it wouldn’t be suppressed or affected when transcendent laws were in disarray. But t

For living beings on Earth, the apocalypse was not over yet. After the first stage of the apocalypse, which was the massive shift in Earth’s ecological structure and geographical formation, the second stage started shortly after. This change involved a massive occurrence in weather and temporal anomalies. In other words, the weather got turned on its head. Hot became cold and cold became smoldering. Typhoons and hurricanes formed spontaneously without warning and weather patterns became unpredictable. The ultimate form of this anomaly was a shift in Earth’s geomancy, leading to unstable gravitational activity in all parts of the planet. Some locations on Earth experienced low gravity while others went through waves of intense gravity that made it impossible for normal humans to survive. This situation caused what was now known to be the Great Migration.Surviving humans and other living beings migrated from areas of hostile gravitational and environmental states in search of more favo

“So there you have it. A detailed account of what went on in the past year since his highness was taken from the planet. We can tell that things are not very peaceful right now for the humans. With the activation of extraordinary characteristics, the general public has to face off against attacks from wild beasts and marauders who have lost control of their powers. That’s why this settlement is on high alert at all times.”“Indeed. It’s unbelievable how much change this planet has gone through in the span of a single year. But the more this is the case, the more it proves how special this planet is.”“That’s right. While it is definitely a surprise for such a fledgling planet to develop transcendent laws, the most shocking thing is that it was able to survive the initial transformative process successfully. Most planets in this situation would either fail and become dead, lifeless stars or turn into aberrations that spread pollution to the entire planetary system. As for those that do

After thinking about it, it was decided that Beatrice and Pamela would be the ones to accompany Arran to enter the settlement. A lot of consideration was taken into account before this decision was made, one of them being that both their abilities were more suitable for such tasks that needed one to gather information stealthily. Another important fact was that they being girls were less likely to draw attention from the people in the settlement as it was still a maxim in lower realms like this for those of the fairer sex to be underestimated compared to their seemingly more able counterparts. With the decision made, the others scattered around to observe their surroundings while Arran, Beatrice, and Pamela descended some distance away from the settlement, where they would continue the rest of the journey to the settlement on foot. The closest defense perimeter of the settlement was close to a small alcove overlooking the south of the glacial island. This alcove opened up to a steep d

Using her ability, Pamela was able to shape multiple stacks of paper into a kilometer-high ladder that was used by the group to climb to the top of the island. Once there, she put away the bundle for later use. Then the three of them observed their surroundings. The alcove wasn’t huge. There was a 50-meter-wide clearing with a few solid blocks of ice that radiated with the light of the afternoon scattered around the area. At the end of the clearing was a narrow path laden with high walls which led to a little slope that rose just beyond the horizon above eye level. This was the perfect place to set up an ambush as It was impossible to see what was behind the slope and one needed to pass through the narrow path to leave the alcove, the high glacial walls making the perfect place for people in camouflage to hide in waiting. With the steep drop to the bottom behind and a narrow path in front, by the time one discovered an ambush waiting for them, it would already be too late to retreat.

Arran, Pamela, and Beatrice were led along in chains by a group of heavily armed soldiers. Wrapped around their bodies was a bundle of cold metal chains that were deep argan in color, shining golden under the clear northern sunshine.Clanking heavily as they walked, the chains caused Arran’s feet to sink into the deep snow, showing the overbearing weight they possessed. Their ends, each attached to the back of an armored truck, pulled the trio along toward the settlement that could already be seen in the distance.Arran and the girls were separated from each other, with each of them having the ends of their chains attached to the tail end of different trucks. They moved in a single file with four soldiers flanking them from each side, watching them vigilantly lest they attempt to escape. With such heavy measures being used against them, it was quite clear the soldiers were not playing around at all.The journey was mostly silent until they finally arrived at the settlement. Arran, Beatrice, and Pamela were locked up in an icy prison, each of them occupying individual cells to themselves. When I say icy, I don’t mean it was simply cold. No, the prison the three of them were led into was built directly into a solid wall of glaciers, with each cell being dug from the ice itself. The environment was bone-chilling. A freezing aura escaped from the icy walls pervading the air and digging into one’s bones. Worst of all, the three of them were stripped bare of almost all their clothing, leaving just the bare essentials to ensure some decency while the rest of their bodies were exposed to the cold. The environment here was not ordinary, as it could cause a normal human to freeze simply after being exposed to the icy chill for a few minutes. Even mutants who have developed their extraordinary characteristics to a certain level would need to consume a large amount of energy just to barely keep themselves from freezing in their cells. They would barely have any mor

Listening to the report, everything was as usual with nothing out of the expected happening since the previous afternoon. This is how it always was. With the settlement in full swing and operating at maximum capacity, there was little room for improvement in the current state. “Sir, regarding the population of the settlement, it is currently being maintained at a maximum of about 10000 residents. The ratio of soldiers to civilians remains at a ratio of 3:7, with two-thirds of the civilians mainly engaging in physical labor to sustain themselves, leaving the rest as technical workers who possess a certain level of skill in specialized operations.” “As it stands, we are fully capable of supporting such a population, although we are a little strained on the amount of food needed to feed all these people. With the surrounding ice field not suitable for planting and most of the marine life in the area - which remains our major source of food - migrating, we are forced to venture deeper in

The battle which would later come to be known as the Apocalyptic Battle For Earth’s Survival ended in a dour note. This battle lasted for 4 hours and many lives were lost. Of these lives that went missing in the chaos of the battle, two were especially noteworthy for their relentless efforts to resist the vile invaders that threatened the planet Earth. They went by the names Arran Galen Von Stratenoff Nero and Faith (Poltergeist) Ohimai both of whom were presumed missing but still alive. Nobody knew where they went or what corner of the universe they currently found themselves. But wherever this was, they were both surely missed and everybody prayed for their safety and eventual return. … The Etherium… inside the royal council hall. Arran was sucked away into the void fissure which closed immediately after, but not before Poltergeist had managed to latch onto his thigh for whatever reason. Seeing Poltergeist clinging onto him, Arran was confused before suddenly developing the urge to retort vehemently. But he wouldn’t have that time for things were just starting to go very wrong. The space within the void fissure was just that… a literal void where nothing existed but the vast expanse of space. But the stability of this void was seriously compromised allowing for multiple fractures in space and time to open up in the surrounding void. Due to the force of the vacuum that pulled arran and Poltergeist into the void fissure, the two of them were barreling through this space uncontrollably without the ability to stabilize themselves. Arran was too weak at the moment after having all his strength drained from him while releasing the Earth’s World Will. As for Poltergeist, she was also weakened. This was because she

The awakening of the world's will of earth was not something Arran had ever expected much less that its awakening would have to do with him. It was then that Arran realized the cause of everything. In Arran’s hand, Soran lay there quietly, no longer trembling as before as if it had gone to slumber. But when Arran thought of how everything that just happened was all because of it, Arran was shocked beyond belief. Arran thought that he already understood what Soran was capable of yet only now did he know that he was yet to scratch the surface of all of Soran’s capabilities. Soran’s ability, Triumph, granted Arran the means to win. Before Arran thought it only made it so that he could meet his enemies power blow for blow regardless of the difference in the realm. But what if there was a situation where Arran was up against an opponent whose gap in the realm was impossible to cross logically? For instance, how would Soran ensure Arran’s victory if he was up against a god as a mere mort

While it was a pity that he couldn’t kill Kasack, arran realized the urgency of the situation. Whatever Kasack did before his disappearance, it was bad… very bad. Lying within the core of the dark star planet was the old ones' power. This power was meant to be given to his chosen champion as a means to fight the Aeth civilization. It was the strongest legacy left behind by the old one which could not be inherited directly. This power was only meant to be used at the critical time of the conflict with the Aeth civilization. It was Kasack’s greatest trump card one that he was reluctant to ever use. Yet at this moment, In the face of death, Kasack unleashed this power knowing full well the repercussions of his action. Kasack was severely damaged, his injuries extremely grevious. But the most severe blow done to Kasack was the blow to his mind and ego. Despite everything, despite all the preparations and plans he had made, Kasack still hadn’t succeeded in killing Arran, yet it was he who was left battered and on the brink of death once again. This thought, Kasack could not bear it. His previous shame which he had hidden beneath a well of anger and rage resurfaced once more, bursting onto the surface like an erupting volcano. Aaaahhhhhh!
