The world was lightless, swallowed by a void of deep creeping darkness that expunged all warmth, casting a chilling shadow over the entire battlefield. Arran’s attack was like the end of days for all, a desperate attempt to end all life by all means necessary. The 10X effect of Death Bringer was on another scale such that it covered almost the entire battlefield including Kasack’s position at the center of the formation. This instant death ability which was mostly single target in nature had been transformed into a wide sweeping attack after accumulating 10 counts of Death Bringer charge during the fight, a feat that was easy to accomplish due to the sheer number of enemies throwing their lives at Arran. Kasack had a dream… that he was cast adrift on a boundless void ocean with darkness all around him and the light of the stars unable to reach him at all. Everything was peaceful yet the silence was desolate. In that dream, Kasack instinctively knew he was dead at least his mind told him that he was, yet his soul like a ship without anchors floated unmoored in an endless haze of darkness unable to find rest. As soon as the darkness receded, Arran’s and Kasack’s figures were revealed. In the entire 5-kilometer area surrounding Arran, only the of them remained. The rest had all seen their bodies completely vaporizing along with their souls under Arran’s attack. Kasack’s body was motionless and while he seemed alright physically, there didn’t appear to be any signs of life within him at all. Noticing this, Arran was incredulous. He could scarcely believe what he was seeing at all. ‘Have I succeeded? Did I kill him, truly?’ Arran was in doubt. He found it difficult to believe that he had managed to actually kill Kasack… this formidable enemy. Not only Arran but the others on the battlefield. “You deserve death!” “All of you deserve death!!!” Kasack in his fury exploded like a loose fuse igniting a stack of dynamite. His aura explosively surged outward affecting everybody on the battlefield including his army. The sudden turn of events caught everybody off guard. Arran and his allies weren’t so shocked as they expected some form of retaliation from Kasack. But the dark creatures and monsters were shocked by the sudden outflow of murderous intent surging towards them. They didn’t know how to react to Kasack’s declaration of death upon everybody, unable to tell if he was referring to them or their enemies. Everywhere was filled with white mist. There were obscure flashes of shadowy figures that filtered through the mist, along with the brief lull of various sounds. There were sounds of children crying, of metal blades clashing against each other, and of warriors shouting in their loud voices as they let out their battle cries accompanied by loud explosions that filled one with dread. These sounds interfered with and meshed together, like a piece of horrendous background music that told epic tales of war and savagery. Everything was dreamlike, and nothing could be perceived clearly. But above the din of hazy mist and blood-curdling sounds, there was one above all else that could be made out with total clarity.
