'How did he get here so fast?'

Terrence cursed furiously in his mind.

Seeing as Arran had appeared out of nowhere and saved Brianna from his attacks, Terrence knew that he was done for this time. He wondered how it was that Arran had been able to make it in time to save Brianna.

Last he knew, Arran and Renee were still a distance away from where they were to they should not have made it in time.

Terrence turned to look at where Renee was and he could see that she was still far away. She should be reaching their side in three seconds at the speed she was running.

This told Terrence that there had been nothing with his prior judgment. This meant that the problem lay with Arran. He must have used some hidden method that he had left behind just for situations like this.

'So that's how it is eh? Sly bastard, he really had me there!'

'Since things have already gotten to this point, I have no way to turn back now.
