The body of the dark creature hung limply on Kasack’s arm. He watched as its fearful expression gradually became dull as life escaped from it and flowed into his body.

Due to some mysterious power, the originally full, if not severely injured, body of the dark creature shriveled up as its life force was devoured and flowed into Kasack’s body.

Kasack frowned as he devoured the life force of the dark creature. Kasack did this to quickly replenish the energy he had lost so he could immediately heal the injuries he had sustained. But the life force of a first-order creature was really weak and could barely provide him with enough power to lift his body up.

It was only by inducing all these creatures to fight and kill themselves that Kasack had been able to absorb enough life force from their spilled blood that he’d been able to recover to his current state.

But it was far from enough. Kasack could still feel his body groaning in pain from all the wounds he had suffered from the Shade lord
