Kasack’s Shame

Kasack had a dream… that he was cast adrift on a boundless void ocean with darkness all around him and the light of the stars unable to reach him at all. Everything was peaceful yet the silence was desolate.

In that dream, Kasack instinctively knew he was dead at least his mind told him that he was, yet his soul like a ship without anchors floated unmoored in an endless haze of darkness unable to find rest.

Kasack didn’t know how long he had spent wandering the haze in his dream. It felt like an instant but also like a billion light years had gone by when a presence suddenly reached into the darkness calling out to him.

Sigh!

A sigh filled with ancient vicissitudes was the only thing the presence uttered yet it set the void ocean a-storm, causing tides to surge and Kasack’s soul to tremble vigorously.
