Being weak feels pathetic!

Arran's words were cold and ruthless as if with those words he was scolding himself for being too weak and helpless.

Arran turned to focus his cold gaze on the shadowy man and reflected in his eyes was a silent chill that froze the shadowy man in place.

Wherever Arran looked past everything froze until all the sounds of explosions, of the hail falling, and of the creatures roaring aloud in a frenzy faded away to become no more than background noise.

Once everything had faded into the background, Arran turned to look back at the shadowy man whose face could not be seen clearly but carried a resemblance to a mortal enemy of Arran's and he asked, "Are you not going to end it here?"

As if he had been released by an invisible binding, the shadowy man breathed heavily and he looked at Arran and asked, "What do you mean by that?"
