“How should we proceed?” After understanding the origin of the Akashic record, Arran didn’t want to waste any more time. He quickly asked for what he was to do next. “Next, you have to gain access to the Akashic record personally and leave an imprint of yourself in it. This imprint will serve as a kind of authority. With this authority, all your deeds from this point on will be actively recorded canonically in the Akashic record.” Hearing this, Arran did not immediately take action. Instead, he asked, “Is that all?” “Yes, that’s all.” Vice Dean Hubert said. “Once you’ve done that, I will take over from there and officially appoint you as the first heir and crown prince to the air seat of authority of the Aeth civilization.” “Oh, so that’s how this works. It’s like an emperors decree which will be recorded in the official canon of an empire and as an emperor is one who has been mandated by heaven, imprinting myself in the Akashic records is like receiving heavens mandate to be emp
“Long live His Highness!”Inside the Akashic Record, Arran watched the words written in blood slowly stop. The last line written was, ‘On the third day in the months of Quilion, Arran Galen Von Stratenoff connected to the Akashic records and was imprinted in it.”Seeing the words written at the end, Arran knew that the summary of his life was basically over. Looking at it, for a record of someone’s life, what was written was actually quite short. Of course, that is because only things that were significant and noteworthy ended up being recorded. But this made it seem like Arran’s life only amounted to these few achievements he had made in life.It made the meaning of Arran’s existence appear bleak and dismal. But just when Arran thought it was over, a change occurred in the Akashic Record as it started updating itself once again. This time, besides words, Arran saw flashes of images appear while the record was being updated. The images showed Vice Dean Hubert pulling out the ruler’s d
Arran and Vice Dean Hubert were on their way back to the above world after completing their objective. They had left immediately after without waiting to rest, despite receiving invitations from the Gullans to stay. This time, there were two additions made to the group on the return journey. Renee and Daphne sat inside the shuttle that was taking the group back to the above world feeling a little strange and unhinged. Their bodies twitched occasionally in discomfort as they tried to get used to the new powers inside their bodies. Arran looked at the sisters' unconscious movements and asked, “Are you sure you’re alright? We could have waited a few days for you to adjust before leaving. There was no need to be in a hurry about returning.” Hearing Arran’s words of concern, Renee tried to smile to assuage his worries. “It’s okay. Now that we’ve become your retainers, we’ll have to endure much more than this in order to serve you well. Right now, it’s only a little uncomfortable as we t
“Lawless Emperor!”This was the ‘Decree’ Arran was gifted with. Compared to Renee’s and Daphne’s ‘Fire’s Child’, this decree sounded very whimsical, albeit full of ominous woe.Looking at the decree, Arran pondered and tried to figure out what it meant but it was hard to come up with anything meaningful. In the first place, what was a ‘lawless emperor’?An emperor was one who stood above the laws of a nation. His words themselves were the law. But at the same time, an emperor was not truly lawless, as he abided by certain rules. It is why emperors still had ministers to assist them in governing their nations. On the other hand, a tyrant was one who was truly lawless, as there was nothing that could truly bind their actions. But seeing as the decree was not directly named tyrant, it meant there was more to the decree than what it implied on the surface.Fortunately, Arran didn’t have to stress too much about the meaning of the decree. He simply decided to read the brief description of
Arran’s return was as silent as his departure. When he docked at the port, there were only a few people waiting to receive him. Considering that Arran had just been officially appointed the first heir and crown prince of the air seat of authority, this kind of treatment was very shabby.By now, news of who Arran had already begun to spread among the civilizations' populace. An incomplete story of Arran’s origins that was deliberately released to the public circulated through people's lips. With the sudden announcement of a new heir to the once-empty throne of the Aeolus kingdom, people wanted to know who this crown prince was, so this matter became the topic of discussion for everybody. When Arran’s information was released, there were various reactions from everybody. For those who did not know him, Arran was a stranger to them and for those who knew of him, they might only remember Arran as the mysterious Kingsman that had participated in the chosen ceremony only to disappear after
Charles Hemsworth had a way of handling things when it came to his family. Whenever it came to important matters of discussion, he never expressed his opinions first, instead letting others have a go first. Even then, after everybody had finished speaking, Charles still refrained from speaking and the decision on what policy to implement would be taken based on a vote of popular opinion among the family in whose opinion was better. It may seem like Charles was handing out a lot of responsibility to his family and staying out of the matter, which would cause his authority to diminish. But that was not the case. Instead, Charles served as the last buffer line, a bastion for the family, in case things went wrong. With his status and ability in the Aeth civilization, Charles was able to handle any consequences that may arise from a wrong decision made by the family. This was the confidence of a man who stood at the top of the world… below a few, but above many others.Of course, if Charle
“Welcome back, your highness. I trust your journey was a fruitful one?”At the dock, Councilwoman Tara received Arran upon his arrival. Behind her were a few of her trusted aides accompanying her.Arran, Dean Hubert, Renee, and Daphne disembarked from their shuttle. Their groups exchanged greetings upon meeting.“Thank you, Councilwoman Tara. The journey went well. I learned many new things and was given various surprises. In the end, it was a wonderful experience.” Arran spoke from his heart.Smiling, Councilwoman Tara said, “I’m glad you enjoyed yourself on this trip.”After saying that, the councilwoman turned to Vice Dean Hubert and said, “It is good to see you again, Dean Hubert. On behalf of the royal council of the Aeth civilization, I would like to formally thank you for escorting his highness on this important journey. Your contributions will not go unrecognized.”Shaking his head, Vice Dean Hubert responded.“Don’t mention it. I was just doing what needed to be done. It was
It didn’t take long for Arran to understand what Councilwoman Tara was hinting at. In short, Arran had been deceived. Despite all he did to make sure he wasn’t taken advantage of by Velar, the Gullan still managed to pull a fast one over Arran.Indeed, the older the ginger, the spicier it was!For all his wit and intelligence, Arran berated himself for not being able to see through Velar’s scheme. The main point of Arran’s dissatisfaction wasn’t that he had been deceived into selecting Renee and Daphne as his retainers… no! No matter what the case may be, Arran would still have chosen to do the same and make them his retainers. The difference between Arran knowing the custom and not was that if Arran knew the custom of the first retainer being selected for him, he would have waited until the council had chosen a retainer for him before making the sisters his retainers. It wasn't like there was a time limit to when a retainer could be chosen and curing the girls was not urgent. They co
Hello everyone, it's your favorite author here. So this is where this book will be ending for now. The story is not over for Arran and his companions. There are many more adventures to share with everybody. But I decided to end this book here because I felt that it had reached a mature point and it was time to evolve the story to something more. From the sequel book onwards, it will no longer just be a story about a boy searching for answers alone but Arran will be accompanied by other main characters from my other stories. So for those who haven't read any of my other stories, you should really give it a try. Though those stories aren’t complete yet and they haven’t gone as far as this one yet, I’ll be using this chance to complete those stories so everything can progress together. Thanks for sticking with me till the end and see you on the flip side. Until next time. Kuraii, out. 😁
The battle which would later come to be known as the Apocalyptic Battle For Earth’s Survival ended in a dour note. This battle lasted for 4 hours and many lives were lost. Of these lives that went missing in the chaos of the battle, two were especially noteworthy for their relentless efforts to resist the vile invaders that threatened the planet Earth. They went by the names Arran Galen Von Stratenoff Nero and Faith (Poltergeist) Ohimai both of whom were presumed missing but still alive. Nobody knew where they went or what corner of the universe they currently found themselves. But wherever this was, they were both surely missed and everybody prayed for their safety and eventual return. … The Etherium… inside the royal council hall. A meeting of the highest importance was currently being held. In this meeting, every council member was present. Along with them, there were seven extra seats which were located at the highest point in the entire hall. Seated upon these esteemed chairs w
Arran was sucked away into the void fissure which closed immediately after, but not before Poltergeist had managed to latch onto his thigh for whatever reason. Seeing Poltergeist clinging onto him, Arran was confused before suddenly developing the urge to retort vehemently. But he wouldn’t have that time for things were just starting to go very wrong. The space within the void fissure was just that… a literal void where nothing existed but the vast expanse of space. But the stability of this void was seriously compromised allowing for multiple fractures in space and time to open up in the surrounding void. Due to the force of the vacuum that pulled arran and Poltergeist into the void fissure, the two of them were barreling through this space uncontrollably without the ability to stabilize themselves. Arran was too weak at the moment after having all his strength drained from him while releasing the Earth’s World Will. As for Poltergeist, she was also weakened. This was because she
The awakening of the world's will of earth was not something Arran had ever expected much less that its awakening would have to do with him. It was then that Arran realized the cause of everything. In Arran’s hand, Soran lay there quietly, no longer trembling as before as if it had gone to slumber. But when Arran thought of how everything that just happened was all because of it, Arran was shocked beyond belief. Arran thought that he already understood what Soran was capable of yet only now did he know that he was yet to scratch the surface of all of Soran’s capabilities. Soran’s ability, Triumph, granted Arran the means to win. Before Arran thought it only made it so that he could meet his enemies power blow for blow regardless of the difference in the realm. But what if there was a situation where Arran was up against an opponent whose gap in the realm was impossible to cross logically? For instance, how would Soran ensure Arran’s victory if he was up against a god as a mere mort
Soran left Arran’s hand, trembling powerfully in the air and creating a buzz of vibrations that spread into the surroundings. Arran was shocked by this not expecting it at all. Just as Arran was about to reach out to Soran to grab him, he suddenly paused as a feeling overcame him. Something was calling out to arran. Even more surprised, Arran looked around swiftly but he couldn’t find anybody around him. Then he thought of something and turned back to look at Soran who continued to tremble in the air. Indeed, just as Arran thought, as he focused on Soran, that call rose in his heart once again. It was as if something was reaching out to him through Soran from a mysterious place. Arran didn’t know who this person was but he knew what they wanted… to be freed. Arran didn’t give it much thought at all — there wasn’t anything to think about. The situation right was already dire. In releasing this person, what was the worst that could happen? Inwardly, Arran tried speaking to the ent
With the eyes of the old face half open, everything took a drastic turn for the worse for Arran and his group. Everybody else had lost consciousness except for arran who retained only a bit of consciousness in this situation… and one other person. With the opening of the old man’s eyes, the defense line was broken not only on Arran’s front but also on that of the Earth. The barrier of distorted space-time surrounding Earth after its barrier shattered was also broken through. Apart from Eris and Charmy, it was this barrier that prevented the blood sea from approaching Earth. But now that it was broken nothing was stopping it anymore. The polluted blood sea was free to advance on Earth. But the Aeth and the others could also now approach the planet. Having lost consciousness, all of them were free falling into the earth at this moment. They were unable to control their descent and were hurtling toward Earth at an incredible speed. At this height, falling with such a speed was enou
Kasack vanished from the battlefield, scooped away into the safety of the dark star planet causing Arran to miss his chance at finally ending this threat once and for all. Arran was frustrated not knowing when he might ever have another chance like this again. But he didn’t wallow in his frustration for long. In no time arran calmed down and analyzed the situation. While it was a pity that he couldn’t kill Kasack, arran realized the urgency of the situation. Whatever Kasack did before his disappearance, it was bad… very bad. Looking at the visage on the surface of the dark star planet, Arran’s mind was met with a deluge of corrupting thoughts that tried to erode his mind. Even his resistance granted by his reality gate against mental pollution was not able to stop this corruption forcing arran to turn away from the planet. Yet even then, a chilling and slimy feeling lingered in Arran’s mind as his consciousness was continually under attack. Only with the combination of the World E
In his madness, Kasack did something drastic. He completely unleashed the power of the old one sealed within the dark star planet. Lying within the core of the dark star planet was the old ones' power. This power was meant to be given to his chosen champion as a means to fight the Aeth civilization. It was the strongest legacy left behind by the old one which could not be inherited directly. This power was only meant to be used at the critical time of the conflict with the Aeth civilization. It was Kasack’s greatest trump card one that he was reluctant to ever use. Yet at this moment, In the face of death, Kasack unleashed this power knowing full well the repercussions of his action. Moan! Following Kasack’s mad ravings, a loud wailing moan echoed throughout the surroundings sounding like an old machine shutting down or large gears slowly going still. In the chaos of the battlefield, this sound was so conspicuous that it forced everyone to notice it. Gradually, the fighting stopp
Kasack was sent flying after being hit by Arran. His chest was sunken and bloodied from the barrage of staff thrusts delivered to him and a mouth full of blood burst from Kasack’s mouth. Kasack was severely damaged, his injuries extremely grevious. But the most severe blow done to Kasack was the blow to his mind and ego. Despite everything, despite all the preparations and plans he had made, Kasack still hadn’t succeeded in killing Arran, yet it was he who was left battered and on the brink of death once again. This thought, Kasack could not bear it. His previous shame which he had hidden beneath a well of anger and rage resurfaced once more, bursting onto the surface like an erupting volcano. Aaaahhhhhh! Kasack didn’t know who was screaming so desperately. In his daze, he heard a voice filled with fury and indignation. His mind was foggy from the impact of Arran’s blows and the bruise on his pride and ego. When the fog finally cleared a little, that is when Kasack realized that
