Sable didn’t act immediately. Only when the majority of the horror’s body had formed together in a fleshy clump did he finally make his move?

Suddenly, Sable flew forward and rushed at the still-forming horror who despite not fully formed retained some form of perception of the world. It immediately attacked Sable, fleshy tentacles extending from its shapeless body rushing forward to attack Sable.

Sable ignored these attacks, simply moving forward with no intention to defend himself. Yet before the tentacles could reach him, they were immediately cut off by a powerful gust that shot from the side.

“Don’t ignore me. I’m still right here!”

Arran’s voice came from the side, his words laced with blatant threat warning the horror to pay attention to him.

At this, the horror seemingly fell into a dilemma unable to decide between continuing his attack on Sable or ignoring him to focus on Arran who was the more threatening enemy.
