While Arran engaged in a battle of both brains and brawn with Paul and Jerry, unbeknownst to them, their performance was being put on display for all to see.
As one of the people who generated a lot of interest in the audience, all of Arran's actions were closely observed so when Arran had finally clashed with Winston and his team, the people in the audience were very excited to see some action.
During the time when Arran had been dissing Winston, it was like the prelude to an epic battle and everyone in the audience was at the edge of their seats anticipating the start of the battle.
As expected, Arran did not disappoint.
With Winston losing his temper, what followed was an action pack clash between Winston, Paul, and Jerry on one side ganging up on the lone Arran on the other side with back and forth strikes as well as intense close shaves and thrilling reversals all in the span of a short two minutes.
These two minutes fed the desire of the audi
Aku The Demon. This title was synonymous with a ferocious war demon that fed on the blood and fears of its enemies on the battlefield. The story of Aku The Demon as he grew from a hapless youth with nothing to his name but the clothes on his back to become a mighty general of the battlefield was one that sent waves of hope and vigor through the veins of those of similar background as him as well as envy to those who Aku The Demon had left behind in his wake on his quest for power and strength.Compared to Bryon who generated reverence and envy due to his powerful backing and considerable strength, what Aku The Demon inspired in others was not only envy and jealousy but also awe and respect generated from their fear and dread of him. All this was because of the legends that were told about the rise of Aku The Demon. When Aku The Demon had been young, he had lost his family in a small-scale invasion by the Shades as they attacked the borders of the Aeth ter
While Eris and Charmy were whispering to themselves.Meanwhile, Bryon and Aku The Demon were still having a stand-off.Aku The Demon, looked at Bryon with deep eyes like a black hole sucking away every light and matter.Byron's words had served their purpose having successfully aroused the displeasure of the crowd. Looking at the faces of those gathered here, it was clear to see that although well hidden, they were not too happy with Aku.Still, it was not like Aku The Demon had ever cared for how people felt about him.Aku was a simple person with a one-track mindset who never sought people's attention or approval. He only did the things that he wanted and said whatever he wanted to say. just like now.Despite the displeasure of the crowd, Aku The Demon was not one bit concerned with them and he instead said to Bryon."You still have a very witty mouth but sadly I can't be bothered to play with you this time. I am only going to say t
Was Arran considered strong among his peers of the same generation? The answer is yes...Arran could be considered strong among his peers of the same generation solely by virtue of the fact that he could participate in this ceremony. Then let us ask, among those participating in this ceremony, how does Arran's strength compare to the rest of them?Well, then that is exactly what these people were trying to figure out.Because the generation of Aku The Demon, Bryon, and the others gathered here was only a generation apart from Arran's generation, these people are all trying to figure out how strong and talented the geniuses of this generation are because some of the most talented people of a particular generation usually had what it takes to compete with geniuses of the previous generation. We are not talking about being able to catch up with those ordinary geniuses of the previous generation because given time any half-decent genius would be
Let us backtrack a little, right before Arran defeated Paul and Jerry.During the time that Bryon and Aku The Demon as well as the others of their own generation were in conflict with each other, the battle between Arran and Paul and Jerry had not stopped for even a second. At this time Arran was still using psychological warfare against Paul and Jerry and he had just finished explaining to them how he had incited Winston to lose his cool before the battle which ultimately led to his defeat. Why was Arran taking the time to explain all this to his opponents?Well, this was part of the plan.By explaining his previous actions to Paul and Jerry, Arran hoped to reduce their vigilance of him or at the very least shift their focus onto another thing. In this way by the time Arran finally unleashed his finishing move, Paul and Jerry would not be able to react in time.Indeed, just as Arran had planned. After hearing exactly how Arran had ac
By this time most people may be thinking, 'Why does Arran only use this single move? Does he have no other move in his arsenal? Why stick to a single move when you could learn more powerful ones?"Actually, these are very valid concerns because if a person should continue using a single move every time he battles his opponents are bound to become familiar with the move making it easy to discern the flaws in them and taking advantage of those flaws. It was not as if Arran had no other moves in his arsenal. In fact, during the short time in which he had been training, Arran had learned a lot of combat techniques in the academy some of which were more powerful than Iaido. The reason Arran still used Iaido most of the time is because of two reasons. One of the reasons is that Arran had only been training for a short time and although he had learned other more powerful combat techniques, due to the limited amount of time he had, Arran's proficiency in using th
Back to real-time.Paul and Jerry had just been knocked flying away catching everybody in the hall off guard. They did not know what had happened to the two of them while they were distracted and arguing so seeing Paul and Jerry knocked out sent them into shock... especially after just hearing Bryon say that they would win while Arran would lose. This outcome was quite contrary to their expectations and they searched everywhere in the hall to look for answers or at least someone to explain things to them.Fortunately, there was a video replay function on the live broadcast and it was possible to search for particular battle footage and watch it again if you missed it.That was not really needed though because the live broadcast was replaying Arran's battle against Paul and Jerry on the platform as their main highlight and by watching the replay, Bryon and his group were able to understand just how things had ended up with Arran's victory. After und
Paul and Jerry probably did not understand how they had lost after going all out with their attacks. Those attacks that they used at the last moment were their strongest ever and they had used every single amount of strength that they could muster without leaving even a drop left. With those abilities, they were supposed to be the victors but in the end, they still lost.Part of the responsibility for losing to Arran partially fell on their shoulders but the main reason for their loss was because Arran had really taken advantage of every chance he had to secure his victory.Apart from letting Arran mess with their heads, Paul and Jerry had not made too many mistakes in the battle and they could be said to have been more steady than Winston had been. It was too bad that at the end of the day they had still underestimated Arran.Paul and Jerry had been too focused on what Arran had allowed them to see that they had ignored what was hidden in plain sight for
Finally, Arran had a total of four tokens in his hands. With this, he was steadily making progress in clearing the second round.Although Arran still had no idea just how many tokens he needs to gather before he would be able to move onto the next round with four tokens in his hand, Arran knew that it was just a matter of time before he would be able to gather enough token to clear this elimination round. All he needed to do was continue doing what he was doing. He would fight the battles that he was confident in winning while avoiding those battles that he was not confident in.As soon as Arran had the fourth token in his hand he wanted to put it away when suddenly he felt a reaction from the token in his hand.It was not only this token that was having a sudden reaction. The other three tokens in Arran's possession were also reacting strangely at this moment. Although the other three tokens were in his personal storage it was not able to prevent them from sens
