The auction was still underway, but no one had still yet to make an offer for the first item, the higher dimension disk.

Observing as people were whispering silently to each other, Arran impatiently grumbled.

“They sure are taking their sweet time deciding whether to bid or not. From how I see it, almost everybody here wants this item, but they are probably not confident enough to get it.”

Trapp, upon hearing Arran’s grumbles, said to him, “You shouldn’t look at it that way. It’s true that all of them want to get their hands on this item. But it’s not that they are not confident in getting it because they are afraid of not getting any results after research is conducted. The truth is, even if there may not be any results from studying this higher dimension disk, everybody would be willing to study it based on the slightest hope that they would gain something.”

“The reason everybody is taking their time before bidding is that they are considering what benefits to give up to obtain the

The conversation between the Kar people and the host Sloan continued. It was mainly the Kar people speaking in their own language that consisted of strange sounds and tones, with Sloan occasionally responding using similar tones. Arran did not understand what they were saying. Come to think of it, apart from the Aeth language, which was the universal commonly spoken language in the Ether, Arran did not understand any other form of spoken language in the upper realm. This was a blind spot in his knowledge and although it was convenient that he didn’t have to learn another language in order to communicate in the upper realm, Arran still felt it was important to understand other languages. Arran made a mental note to find some time to learn some of the most commonly spoken languages in the upper realm, just like how he was well versed in all the languages on earth. A short while later, the Kar people stopped speaking and Sloan finally addressed the room. “We finally have our first bid

Of the five space sectors, four of them were occupied by different fleets of ships belonging to the various forces invited to the secret auction. Among them, there were also many ships deployed by the space station to oversee the rest of the fleets in order to prevent any mishaps. On the supervising fleet, one could clearly make out the seven-star symbol that was the crest of the Aeth civilization as well as the divine shield star symbol that belonged to the border defense army of the Aeth military. It was clear that this fleet of ships sent to supervise the secret auction was an elite special army of the Aeth civilization responsible for defending the border of the Ether. During his time in the academy, Arran had learned a thing or two about the various military armies of the Aeth civilization, so he was able to recognize them by their symbols. After observing the border defense fleet for some time, Arran checked out the other fleets in the four sectors. These fleets each had thei

There was silence in the hall as the others considered what action to take. Meanwhile, Arran was still reeling from the surprise he had just received. When Arran heard that the stake in this bid for the higher dimension disk was a whole solar system, Arran reeled in shock. He could believe it at all...“Do major forces in the universe always play like this? Using an entire solar system that is rich in rare and precious resources to bid for a single item...”“What is a high stakes game... this is definitely a high stakes game! And here I was thinking I was rich and that my wealth could compete with an entire civilization, even, not knowing that another party's wealth is enough to crush me with embarrassment.”Arran murmured to himself dismally. When he thought that all the wealth that his parents gave him might not even compare to a single solar system that was used as a bid for an auction, Arran said that he was no longer qualified to be called a rich second-generation heir. He shoul

“What I mean is that the others may not necessarily give up on competing for this item. Don’t forget that the chances of benefiting from researching this item may be low, but it doesn’t mean it’s zero. There might actually be some here just like the Kar are willing to try.”“Also, now that the Kar has made the first move, it may cause others to actually move to the right for the item even if they originally were not interested.”“Why is that?” Arran asked.“Remember when I said the Kar has a nose for opportunity?”Arran nodded, as he could vaguely remember Brianna saying something like that.“Well, I meant it very literarily. The Kar’s nose is really able to sniff out the scent of opportunity. It is said that even in the bleak vastness of the universe, no matter what opportunity lay hidden if the car is there, they will sniff it out no matter what. This is a natural talent of the entire Kar race. How it works is a mystery, just like how the secrets of the Kingsman bloodline remain a m

World fusion... is a term that is very literal in its meaning. As it suggests, it simply means the fusion of multiple worlds together as one. But what exactly does this entail?Naturally, world fusion is not a simple task to carry out. Unlike terraforming worlds, which were simply adjusting the basic components and elements of a world either by adding more elements to the world in limited quantities to make it more suitable for habitation or exploitation, fusing worlds was in a whole other ballpark together. More than adjusting, world fusion included the blending and balancing of various elements present in each individual world, making it no different from the newly born world. Doing this was much more difficult than simply terraforming a world, and there were many factors that went into consideration when it came to world fusion. Chief of these considerations is the matter of producing a conducive atmosphere for habitation. World fusion is more than dumping a planet into another

The auction was underway, and many items had already made an appearance in front of everyone. These items, like the first two, were very impressive. Their values ranged based on preciousness and rarity, with some being more value able than others. But overall none of them were less valuable than the first two that appeared in the beginning. Arran was overwhelmed. The items that appeared in the auction were beyond his comprehension, so much so that he found it hard to understand their existence even after they were explained in a very detailed way to him. Some like the higher dimension disk Arran could understand. After all, talks about the existence of a higher fourth dimension or fifth dimension is one that is even debated about on earth not to talk about the wider universe. And although the concept of fusing planets was known to Arran, he could still barely understand it as another form of terraforming. All the above and a few that were similar to them were some of the few that A

As the current bid concluded, Sloan stepped forward, clapping his hand as he addressed the crowd. Clap Clap Clap!“Wow! That bidding was intense. I believe I can speak for everyone when I say that this auction is the best one we’ve ever held yet. The quality of items that have made an appearance in the auction is higher than in previous auctions. We can only hope that we get more of these as often as we can.”“Sadly, all good things have to end, eventually. As much as we would like more of these rare and precious items, they are very hard to come by. If not, they wouldn’t be rare or precious.”“We are almost at the end of the auction, and there are only a few items left to be displayed. On that note, let us proceed with the next item.”“This last item is a last-minute addition to the original list of items that would be auctioned off. It is a very special item, and the circumstances of its appearance in the auction today are very strange.”“To be honest with everybody, this item did

Apart from Arran, who stood up abruptly, every other Aeth in the venue had faces that belied the expression of shock and confusion. They were in dumbfounded silence at what they were seeing. Finally, after some time, when the shock had finally settled in, a murmur spread through the hall as the Aeth whispered amongst themselves. “What is that doing here?”“It’s shouldn’t be here... how did it get here?”“What are those seven treasures guys doing back home? How could they let this appear here?”Initially, the murmurs around the venue came in low and subdued undertones until gradually they turned into a full-on outcry of rage and fury. Suddenly, the Aeth had turned belligerent. “What is going on? What is all this uproar about?”While the Aeth burst into a fit of protest, the others at the venue did not know what was going on or what caused such a development. They were completely in the dark about why the Aeth was in such a rage. With a mix of confusion and anger, the secret auction

    The End… For Now!

The battle which would later come to be known as the Apocalyptic Battle For Earth’s Survival ended in a dour note. This battle lasted for 4 hours and many lives were lost. Of these lives that went missing in the chaos of the battle, two were especially noteworthy for their relentless efforts to resist the vile invaders that threatened the planet Earth. They went by the names Arran Galen Von Stratenoff Nero and Faith (Poltergeist) Ohimai both of whom were presumed missing but still alive. Nobody knew where they went or what corner of the universe they currently found themselves. But wherever this was, they were both surely missed and everybody prayed for their safety and eventual return. … The Etherium… inside the royal council hall. Arran was sucked away into the void fissure which closed immediately after, but not before Poltergeist had managed to latch onto his thigh for whatever reason. Seeing Poltergeist clinging onto him, Arran was confused before suddenly developing the urge to retort vehemently. But he wouldn’t have that time for things were just starting to go very wrong. The space within the void fissure was just that… a literal void where nothing existed but the vast expanse of space. But the stability of this void was seriously compromised allowing for multiple fractures in space and time to open up in the surrounding void. Due to the force of the vacuum that pulled arran and Poltergeist into the void fissure, the two of them were barreling through this space uncontrollably without the ability to stabilize themselves. Arran was too weak at the moment after having all his strength drained from him while releasing the Earth’s World Will. As for Poltergeist, she was also weakened. This was because she

The awakening of the world's will of earth was not something Arran had ever expected much less that its awakening would have to do with him. It was then that Arran realized the cause of everything. In Arran’s hand, Soran lay there quietly, no longer trembling as before as if it had gone to slumber. But when Arran thought of how everything that just happened was all because of it, Arran was shocked beyond belief. Arran thought that he already understood what Soran was capable of yet only now did he know that he was yet to scratch the surface of all of Soran’s capabilities. Soran’s ability, Triumph, granted Arran the means to win. Before Arran thought it only made it so that he could meet his enemies power blow for blow regardless of the difference in the realm. But what if there was a situation where Arran was up against an opponent whose gap in the realm was impossible to cross logically? For instance, how would Soran ensure Arran’s victory if he was up against a god as a mere mort

While it was a pity that he couldn’t kill Kasack, arran realized the urgency of the situation. Whatever Kasack did before his disappearance, it was bad… very bad. Looking at the visage on the surface of the dark star planet, Arran’s mind was met with a deluge of corrupting thoughts that tried to erode his mind. In his madness, Kasack did something drastic. He completely unleashed the power of the old one sealed within the dark star planet. Lying within the core of the dark star planet was the old ones' power. This power was meant to be given to his chosen champion as a means to fight the Aeth civilization. It was the strongest legacy left behind by the old one which could not be inherited directly. This power was only meant to be used at the critical time of the conflict with the Aeth civilization. It was Kasack’s greatest trump card one that he was reluctant to ever use. Yet at this moment, In the face of death, Kasack unleashed this power knowing full well the repercussions of his action. Moan! Following Kasack’s mad ravings, a loud wailing moan echoed throughout the surroundings sounding like an old machine shutting down or large gears slowly going still. In the chaos of the battlefield, this sound was so conspicuous that it forced everyone to notice it. Gradually, the fighting stopp

Despite everything, despite all the preparations and plans he had made, Kasack still hadn’t succeeded in killing Arran, yet it was he who was left battered and on the brink of death once again. This thought, Kasack could not bear it. His previous shame which he had hidden beneath a well of anger and rage resurfaced once more, bursting onto the surface like an erupting volcano. Aaaahhhhhh! Kasack didn’t know who was screaming so desperately. In his daze, he heard a voice filled with fury and indignation.
