Candidate Commander

Jin Tae Kyung stood amidst the bustling camp. He looked around, taking in the spread of tents surrounding him. The low murmurs and the scent of smoke filled the air, reminding him of the imminent presence of battle. Jin Tae Kyung took a deep breath, feeling nervous about the new task entrusted to him.

Suddenly, Valkyrie, a tough female warrior serving in the elite forces, approached him with determined steps. Her serious face and sharp eyes conveyed a decision already made. Jin Tae Kyung's heart raced as he realized that Hristz wanted to talk to him about something.

"Jin Tae Kyung, I have an offer for you," Hristz said calmly but with firmness in her voice.

Jin Tae Kyung looked at Hristz with mixed emotions. He knew that Valkyrie's offer must be related to a commanding position in the battle. From the beginning, Hristz had recognized Jin Tae Kyung's potential strength and leadership, but she also understood his hesitation.

"I'm sorry, Valkyrie," Jin Tae Kyung said softly. "I'm not ready to take on the role of a commander. I still need to learn and prepare myself better."

Hristz nodded understandingly, realizing that the decision was not without reason. She knew that being a commander was not an easy task and required thorough readiness.

"Alright," Hristz said gently. "I understand, and I won't force you. However, I have another task for you."

Jin Tae Kyung looked at Hristz with curiosity filling his eyes.

"What is the task?" he asked, eager to know what would come next.

Hristz smiled faintly before answering, "I will assign you to prepare this camp until the time you join another unit. You'll have until tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest to complete it."

Jin Tae Kyung nodded, accepting the task with newfound determination. He understood that this was his opportunity to prove his abilities and perseverance. He promised himself that he would complete the task well.

Before Hristz left him, she took one step closer to Jin Tae Kyung. In silence, she raised her hand and gave a salute of unknown significance. Jin Tae Kyung was surprised by the gesture, but he felt warmth and trust implied within it.

"Perhaps this is a sign for your good fortune," Hristz said in a low tone. "Do your task well, Jin Tae Kyung."

"Thank you, Valkyrie. I won't disappoint you," Jin Tae Kyung replied with strong determination.

With a final smile, Hristz turned around and left Jin Tae Kyung alone in the busy camp. Jin Tae Kyung gazed at the sky, feeling confident and ready to face whatever would come. He knew that this was the beginning of a challenging new journey, and he was prepared to face it with all the strength he possessed.

Jin Tae Kyung stood upright in the middle of a vast field, his gaze fixed on the rows of soldiers training under the scorching sun. He was carrying out his plan to memorize their faces, an important preparation as a commander responsible for his troops.

In the tension that filled the air, a loud call resonated, shaking Jin Tae Kyung's heart. He quickly turned around, a look of surprise crossing his face as he saw Valkyrie, a fellow comrade who usually stood there. Jin Tae Kyung instantly wondered if Valkyrie had been transferred to another unit. However, Valkyrie's words only deepened his confusion.

"Jin Tae Kyung, you're an exception," Valkyrie said with a mysterious tone.

The warrior narrowed his eyes, not understanding what Valkyrie meant. Was someone looking for him? He cautiously approached Valkyrie, doubt clearly visible on his face. But before he could express his uncertainty, another Valkyrie with bright red hair emerged from behind the first one, wearing a bright smile.

It turned out to be Valkyrie Brunhild, the leader of the Idun Legion who had guided Jin Tae Kyung in the past. In the midst of his surprise, Jin Tae Kyung couldn't hide his joy at seeing Brunhild appear before him. They had fought together in fierce battles, and now fate had brought them together again.

"Jin Tae Kyung, it's been a long time," Brunhild greeted with great excitement.

"I'm delighted to see you again."

The warrior took a relieved breath and smiled.

"Brunhild, I'm also thrilled to see you again," he replied, his voice filled with a sense of nostalgia and familiarity.

In their undeniable joy, they embraced each other briefly, reminiscing about the courageous moments they had experienced together. Jin Tae Kyung felt his heart filled with a renewed spirit, and he couldn't wait to find out the reason why Valkyrie Brunhild was present there.

"Why are you here, Brunhild?" Jin Tae Kyung asked, curiosity shining in his eyes.

Brunhild smiled mysteriously. "I've come with an important mission, Jin Tae Kyung. The Idun Legion needs you, and I need you as an ally on the battlefield."

The warrior looked at Brunhild with courageous eyes. "What do I need to do?"

Brunhild looked up at the vast sky, then her gaze returned to Jin Tae Kyung. "We will bring about significant change in the upcoming battle. Prepare yourself, Jin Tae Kyung, for we will face challenges more formidable than we ever imagined."

They locked eyes, sparks of fighting spirit igniting between them. Two figures once united in warfare, now connected again by an unforeseen fate. The unexpected presence of Valkyrie Brunhild had awakened curiosity and stirred a sense of intrigue within Jin Tae Kyung, leading this story towards a new adventure filled with challenges.

Jin Tae Kyung, a dedicated soldier, felt confusion and wonder within himself as he left the camp with Brunhild, a Valkyrie who granted him a direct exception. It felt as if his beloved had come to find him amidst the harsh military duties. While other soldiers felt envy and jealousy, Jin Tae Kyung remained calm and walked alongside Brunhild, paying no mind to their longing gazes.

They strolled along a path covered by dense trees. Jin Tae Kyung gazed at the bright blue sky, pondering in his heart if he had done something extraordinary without realizing it. Brunhild walked gracefully by his side, her blonde hair flowing in the gentle breeze.

"Kyung, are you puzzled by the decision I made?" Brunhild asked, sensing the doubts lingering in Jin Tae Kyung's mind.

Jin Tae Kyung turned to her and sincerely replied, "I don't know what I did to receive this exception, Brunhild. I have simply carried out my duties to the best of my ability."

Brunhild smiled softly. "You truly are different, Jin Tae Kyung. You possess rare strength and spirit. I see great potential within you."

Jin Tae Kyung was taken aback by Brunhild's praise. "I'm just an ordinary soldier, Brunhild. There's nothing special about me."

Brunhild paused for a moment and looked into Jin Tae Kyung's eyes with sincerity. "You have a natural leadership and courage that I rarely encounter. I see potential in you to become an extraordinary hero."

Jin Tae Kyung felt his chest fill with newfound pride and confidence. Brunhild's words gave him the motivation and belief to pursue greater goals.

They continued their journey, and as they approached the camp once again, the remaining soldiers greeted them with unabashed curiosity and admiration. Their gazes were filled with the desire to experience the same as Jin Tae Kyung.

"Truly amazing, Tae Kyung!" exclaimed one soldier in awe.

"Do you know what makes you so special?"

Jin Tae Kyung smiled humbly. "I'm not sure either. But one thing's for certain, we all have strength within us. We just need to discover and cultivate it."

The other soldiers nodded in agreement, filled with the inspiration provided by Jin Tae Kyung. They realized that they too could achieve the same greatness if they found their true conviction and spirit.
