The Address

At dawn, the Vampires gathered outside The Seawrights Mansion.

As soon as Alora came to know, she went outside to address them.

There was a big crowd and it was too noisy. People were again raising the slogans against the Scarrows. It took a while to calm them down.

"Listen, my people, my mighty vampires!". Alora waved her hand at them.

Silence prevailed among them.

"I, Alora Seawright, daughter of your cherished king, Corbin Seawright, would not let you down and I will return with the soul of the chosen one". She announced. "We have gone through so much together. The battles between us and the werewolves are our history,The power and majesty is our legacy and you people are the protectors of our history and legacy. Before I leave, I want you people to know that I don't want to take away someone innocent's life. But as we are compelled, I will do it. Always remember _ I will do this against my will. And I want you people to obey me after I do this. No one should feel reluctant to sacrifice thier life for this world of ours. Anyone who would, should be considered an outsider. I assure you that it is ME who will be successful. The Seawrights will be ruling you once again. I need your support and prayers to win.

The Scarrows are our brothers. We are the same specie but because we have a conflict, we have became rivals. Remember _ never stand against them no matter what. I would never appreciate any killing and bloodshed. The Scarrows have sacrificed themselves for the Vampire World and they deserve to be respected. No one would ever raise slogans against them, they're the part of you and part of us...

I thank you for coming here and supporting me. I'll be leaving till noon. While I'm gone, my lawyer and my family are the ones you should be supporting. Any betrayal to us or bloodshed with The Scarrows and their supporters would be strongly condemned and the responsible for this would have to face me.

This responsibility of ruling is arduous. I have seen my Father trapped in chaos and stress. He never cared for himself. He forgot himself and worked for you. I want your full support and unconditional loyalty in order to rule.. WILL YOU SUPPORT ME?".

"YES WE WILL". The people replied together.

"WILL YOU TOLERATE?". Alora asked.

"YES WE WILL".

"WILL YOU SPREAD HARMONY?".

"YES WE WILL".

"DO YOU BELIEVE IN ME?".

"WITH FULL HEART AND SOUL".

"DO YOU PROMISE TO STAY LOYAL?".

"WITH FULL HEART AND SOUL".

Dan made his way through the crowd and went towards Alora. He was grinned ear to ear.

"Hey".

"You're late". Alora said.

"I know, got caught up. It was a great speech". Dan appreciated. "You never addressed them before".

"I was a kind of nervous.. they were continuously shouting against The Scarrows, I felt bad so stopped them". Alora told.

"Bad? You should feel pleasure". Dan giggled.

"She's a mercy, Dan". Someone said from the right.

Dan and Alora looked at him. It was Jade, walking through the crowd and approaching them. "She can't bare to hear anything against someone. She has a golden heart".

Alora smiled at him. "I was thinking to pay you a visit before leaving".

"You honored me last night. I thought it should be me who should go". Jade said.

"Thank you, Jade". Alora nodded. She turned to the people. "WISH ME LUCK_".

"God speed you, God help you". Everyone yelled together.

Meanwhile, Stephen came out, followed by Elle and Veronica.

"Your Father addressed them in the same way.. you are repeating the history, My dear". Stephen commented.

Alora grinned ear to ear and hugged her grandfather.

"You're a big support, Pa". She said.

Dan turned to the people. "Alright, Everyone! Let's head home now".

People started dispersing away.

Now it was just Alora, her family and Jade there.

"Come on in, Jade. It's been a long time". Stephen invited him in.

As everyone turned to back in, someone yelled from back: "It was a nice speech Seawright! Nice way to fool people".

Alora turned to look. It was Mangus Scarrow, Alice's Father.

Stephen frowned. "Bloody Bastard". He mumbled. "Alora, go in".

Alora obeyed and went inside with Dan, Elle and Veronica.

"What do you want, Mangus? What made you come to our mansion after all these years?". Stephen questioned as he approached nearer.

"Just came to let you know that history won't repeat". Mangus stood right in front of him.

Jade frowned as he saw a woman following Mangus.

"Olesya". He said.

Olesya was a witch who came toe to toe with Jade in doing black magic. She supported the Scarrows and was meant so much for them as Jade meant to The Seawrights.

"Greetings, Jade". She said rudely.

"Bitch". Jade gritted his teeth.

"What makes you think that history won't repeat, Mangus?". Stephen continued.

"How can someone as innocent as Alora_ rule? You have to be cruel and clever_ and COLD HEARTED to rule". Mangus said.

"That's how THE SCARROWS rule". Stephen chuckled sarcastically. "The Seawrights don't rule the city, they don't rule the people, they rule their hearts. And to rule someone's heart, you have to be soft and sacred and noble".

"Oh? So that's what Corbin_ may he rest in peace_ did?". Mangus raised his eyebrow.

"Huh". Jade scoffed. "Were you blind? Didn't you saw how he ruled?".

"I did". Mangus nodded. "Olesya wants to see Alora".

"Why?". Stephen's eyes popped out.

"Just came to wish good luck to your granddaughter". Olesya replied.

"She doesn't need your good wishes. She's innocent but not stupid. Don't you dare to get near her". Jade warned. "All of you want to take advantage of her soft heart and innocence".

"Jade, calm down". Stephen stopped him.

Jade took a step back in deference.

Inside the house, Alora,Elle, Veronica and Dan listened the conversation through the window.

As soon as Veronica heard this, she gestured Dan to take Alora upstairs in her room. She panicked and sobbed.

Elle pushed Alora towards Dan and told her to keep quiet.

"Mother?". She whispered and tried to console her.

"Go upstairs!". Veronica said in a low voice.

Dan took Alora and ran upstairs.

"Who's her_ Dan?". Alora asked as Dan locked the door behind him.

"Don't you know? She's a witch". Dan replied.

"Why can't I meet her?".

"She's evil, Alora!". Dan told.

"But there might be a reason for her to come here!". Alora exclaimed.

"An EVIL REASON". Dan said. "I don't know much about her, Alora. Your Ma does, ask her". He moved towards the window and looked down.

"Go away, Mangus. Take this Witch Bitch with you too. I can let anything happen but can't let her see my Daughter". Stephen's voice was commanding and full of domination.

"I won't eat her, Stephen!". Olesya said.

"You will kill her. You want to know her speciality". Jade interrupted.

"Get lost, or I'll call the guardians". Stephen spoke angrily. "How dare you come here, stand in front of me and demand this? _ DARIUS?". He called the guardian Vampire.

"Alright, we're leaving _ Stephen!". Mangus said.

"Cool, go to hell". Stephen nodded.

Mangus turned and started walking, Olesya rolled her eyes at Jade and followed Mangus.

"I should have also killed this old guy along with his son". He murmured while walking out of the gate.

Dan sighed as he watched them leave.

"Are they gone?". Alora was biting her nails.

"Yeah". He seated himself beside Alora on the couch.

"Should we go downstairs?". Alora asked.

"Let's wait till Pa calls". Dan leaned back on the couch.

After a while, Ashley knocked on the door.

"Princess?".

"Yes, Ashley?". Alora went to open the door.

"Your Pa is calling you". Ashley told.

"I'm coming". Alora nodded.

As Ashley left, Alora turned to Dan. "Come on".

Downstairs, Stephen was sitting on the couch, rubbing his temples. Jade stood at a corner, Looking down.

Veronica was still crying. She was actually scared. Elle tried to console her.

"Pa?". Alora said as soon as she entered the room.

Stephen looked up. "Alora". He stood up.

"What was all that about? Why did Ma panicked?". Alora asked as Stephen hugged him.

"She's a Witch! A witch who took my children away from me forever". Veronica cried.

"Veronica!". Stephen looked back at her. "Calm down. I won't let that repeat".

Alora fixated her eyes on her grandfather. "Pa?".

"Yes? Come sit". He offered and moved at the couch. Alora sat beside him and Dan stood at a distance.

"Tell me_ why is there so much secrecy, Pa?".

Stephen sighed. "I had nine sons".

"Nine?". Alora was astonished. "Nine! But Father told me it was just him!".

"He lied to you so that you don't hate the Scarrows". Stephen told.

"The Scarrows?". Alora said. "Where did they came from?".

"Your father's eight brothers were killed by The Scarrows many years ago. Not only killed, OBLITERATED.. They were burnt and ripped into pieces and there bodies were thrown into the forest to rot". Stephen explained.

Veronica bursted into tears again. "My sons".

"Alice's Mother, Astoria was my daughter". Stephen told with tears in his eyes. "I married her to Mangus and Mangus had expected that her sister, Drusilla will be married to one of your uncle. She was in love with your Dad. But Corbin fell in love with your Mom, when he went to the human world. He married her and brought her here. Drusilla wasn't able to bare it. She committed a suicide. Enraged, Mangus tried to kill Elle and Corbin but your Uncles stood in the way to protect thier beloved younger brother. Mangus killed every single one of them by the help of That Witch Bitch, Olesya. He killed your aunt soon after the birth of Alice".

"So, Alice is my_ cousin?". Alora asked, surprisingly.

"Yes". Stephen nodded. "They are our family, that's why I never told you so that you don't hate them.. if I would have told you, you wouldn't have been so innocent and soft hearted, you wouldn't have told the people to spread harmony and love. Do you know why the people support you, they think you know the history between The Seawrights and The Scarrows and even then you ask everyone to live in peace".

"Pa". Alora started sobbing.

"Don't cry, your tears are so precious, Alora". Stephen stroked her back.

"I don't want to lose you, Alora. I have already lost my nine sons and a daughter". Veronica sobbed. "I don't even want Olesya's bloody shadow around you. When she came nearer to Astoria, my daughter became ill and never recovered from that illness till she died".

Alora wiped her tears and sat up straight. "Now I understand why the throne is important. It doesn't belongs to someone as cruel as The Scarrows". She said strongly. "I'll get it back at the cost of my life".

Dan smiled, so did Jade.

"My princess?". Jade came nearer to her. He took out a bracelet from his pocket. "Here, wear it. It will protect you".

Alora took the bracelet and wore it instantly. "Thank you, Jade". She stood up. "I'll pack my things up now. No more crying, Ma. I'll get the crown for which your sons sacrificed themselves".
