The Verdict

The court room is full of people _ more like, with VAMPIRES. The judges are sitting, talking to each other before giving the verdict.

"Let's hope we win". Alora wished. She was about to cry.

Princess Alora Seawright_ daughter of former king,Corbin Seawright. A silver haired, grey eyed vampiress, the most beautiful vampiress in the vampire world. It is famous that Alora was the dream of Charles Heathman. A vampire who once ruled the whole vampire world. He saw a girl in his dream who, when took birth, became a sign of pleasure for her people.

She took birth in Seawright Family, one of the powerful vampire family. Her mother, being a human gave birth to the DREAM OF CHARLES HEATHMAN_ she was named Alora, the dream.

The day she was born was the day when, Charles recovered from a fatal disease which he got by a werewolf's bite. His recovery was associated with Alora's birth and soon the baby became famous among the vampires and they started calling her THE HEALER and this is how the dream came true.

Whenever she touched any ill person, he would recover within a few hours and get back to life. She was as white as milk and her skin shined when in the dark. It was considered to be unsafe for her to go to the human world because her traits would never allow her to mingle in the humans. She stood distinct among the Vampires and was feared that same would be the case among humans. That's why, she never stepped out of the vampire world. Her eyes were mesmerizing and fresh which compelled many handsome vampires to send her marriage proposals but she was waiting for the right one.

After the death of her father, she now lived with her mother, Elle, and grandparents who adored her. She was the only child of Corbin and Elle, deeply shocked by her father's sudden death, Alora lost her senses for months.

Now that she was alright and was about to become A VIRGIN QUEEN of the Vampire World, the rival family, Scarrows stormed in. They demanded that the throne should now be given to them because the Seawrights were ruling it for years and that The Scarrows deserve it.

Whole Vampire World was shook to hear this. Everyone wanted Alora to be the next queen but when details were studied, the Scarrows were found to be the ones who sacrificed the most for the Vampire World. This set a dispute among the families once more, after centuries of enemity.

To stop bloodshed, the case was taken to the court and after the detailed hearing of the case, today was the day of verdict.

It was today, when it had to be decided whether the throne should be given to Alora Seawright or Alice Scarrow..

Alice Scarrow _ the daughter of Felix Scarrow. She was the candidate from the Scarrows. Felix himself should have stood as the candidate but he did it on purpose.

What purpose? It was unknown to anyone.

"Come on! Everything will be alright Alora". Dan, her friend consoled her. "It's you who deserves the crown".

"I don't know Dan. I never wanted to rule. It's just that my father sacrificed his everything for that God-damned throne. He wanted me to be his heir, that's all otherwise,I wanted to live a life of freedom". Alora spoke.

"We can't let the Scarrows have the crown. They are selfish and fraud. They would destroy everything your father did and of course, would take away your family's name". Dan told. He looked over to Alice. "God! She's ugly as hell Alora! How did she ever become a Vampire. Vampires are supposed to be beautiful".

Alora chuckled at the comment. "Shut up Dan".

"Order! Order!". The judge silenced the people. "We are going to give the verdict about whom the throne belongs to. The Seawrights or The Scarrows".

"Both families have sacrificed a lot for the Vampire World. But to be honest, The Scarrows suffered more than The Seawrights". The second judge spoke.

"..The Seawrights, on the other hand have done exemplary things for the prosperity of the Vampire World over last four centuries". The first judge said.

Alora was feeling nervous. She squeezed her Mother's arm. In return, her mother, Elle, gave her a reassuring look.

"The throne needs a soul of the chosen one like it did five centuries ago. The Seawrights and The Scarrows fought to get the soul of that chosen human being and The Seawrights won. As a result, Corbin Seawright was declared to be the King. Now, today, It has come to our knowledge, that the throne needs the soul of the chosen one again, which would give life to our throne and it would continue to spread". The judge announced.

The throne chair had a shining stone engraved in it whose glow was the symbol of prosperity of the vampire world. It never glowed on its own. A human being's_ A CHOSEN ONE'S soul had to be breathed into it to make it glow. It was a tradition. The Vampires always fought for the throne and the king was always the one who had found the chosen one. The glow lasted for a few thousand years and then the vampires had to strive to make it glow again.

"Taking the life of an innocent human being, again?". Alora looked at her mother who listened silently. She always hated the idea of taking someone's life for the life of the throne.

"It's necessary Alora". Dan said. Alora frowned and glared at the judges.

"It has, therefore, decided that both the candidates of Seawrights and Scarrows would be sent to the human world and they would search for that person, seduce him and bring him to the Vampire World. If not easy, the person should be killed there and his soul should be brought here. But remember, it is VERY necessary to bring the person here. Killing him back on the earth is the last straw". The judge said.

"This should be done in six months".

"Ahh". Alora closed her eyes. "Now I have to kill someone!".

Alice glanced at Alora and gave her a smirk.

"The verdict should be respected and obeyed". With this, the judge raped the gavel, stood up and left.

Everyone started going out.

Alora leaned back on the seat and sighed.

"Alora! My dear, it would be okay". Elle consoled her.

"You have to do it for the sake of the throne". Dan said.

"Isn't there any other way? Is it necessary to take the life of the person away?". Alora sobbed.

"No, there isn't". Elle shook her head. "Your Dad did this unwillingly, too".

"These God-damned jurists never heard the murder case of my father and they came running to give the verdict of the throne keeping".

"Hey!". Elle stopped her speaking. "They're elders, Alora".

"I can't kill someone, Mother". Alora stood up. "I'm the healer, not the killer".

Meanwhile, Alice and her family stopped near them before heading out.

"Aww! Young girl has to kill a guy? A girl who hasn't even killed a fly? So sad". Alice mocked. "Back off then, sweetie! Let me take the throne".

Alora clenched her fists. She didn't wanted to reply her.

"Whoa! Wouldn't say anything? Hmm, I see. You're more weaker then I thought. Just let it go Alora, keeping the throne isn't your thing. Go and hide under the covers and cry because it's thundering outside!". She made fun of her.

"Shut up, Alice". Dan glared at her.

"Ooh? Bff's angry?". Alice laughed and left.

Alora watched her go out of the courtroom and sat down again. "I'm not weak. I'll show her what I AM". She was determined.

"Way to go, Alora". Dan cheered her up.

"Let's head home, child". Elle said and picked up Alora's handbag.
