"What is it that your father wants from me?" Lecter asked Carina when she had settled into the house that Lecter had arranged for her.

"He wants your ring. He believes that you are too powerful. He tried to sacrifice me as well for a ritual that would require him stealing every last bit of my DNA but I ran. It would have killed me," Carina said and sighed.

"I must have underestimated just how evil your father is. To think of doing something like that to you is absurd! How could he want to trade the gift of friendship over family?" Lecter asked puzzled.. it was simply astounding for him.
