Detective Bruce had decided to take care of Cathrine first before he proceeded to do the brawl with Lecter.

Finding out who tried to poison him at the party was a juicy thing but Bruce needed to close Venita's case as quickly as possible.

His past and the secrets it held depended on it. Bruce brought Cathrine to the police station and proceeded straight to the interrogation.

Bruce's eyes narrowed as he leaned forward, his voice was firm but controlled. "Cathrine, we have evidence. Don't lie to me. Were you involved in the attempted kidnapping of Anna James?"

Cathrine's eyes flashed with defiance. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Bruce sighed as his patience began wearing thin. "Don't play dumb, Cathrine. We have witnesses, records. You were at the scene. You were involved."

Cathrine's mask began to crack, her voice trembling. "I didn't want to...I was just in a tough spot..."
