Chapter 174

Bruce had driven back to the station in a fit of anger over what happened with Tommy. And as he stood in the captain's office, his mind danced around the nonsense allegation that was being laid before him. Apparently, Tommy has called the station and reported that Bruce assaulted him.

"Sir, I'm telling you, it's not true. Tommy is trying to cover his tracks."

The captain's expression was unyielding. "I've made up my mind, Bruce. You're suspended, effective immediately."
