CHAPTER EIGHTY ONE

Logan placed a sum of cash on the table, far more than the cost of their meal, and stormed out of the restaurant, leaving Eleanor to contemplate her actions.

Outside the restaurant, Logan scanned the bustling crowd, hoping to catch a glimpse of Aella. He was torn between the desire to explain the awkward situation with Eleanor and the frustration of not being able to find her. The sea of people made it impossible to locate one person, and he guessed that Aella had already left for home.

As he reluctantly made his way back home, he couldn't help but feel quite sorry for Eleanor. He'd guess he must have taken it too serious but couldn't reverse it and for some reasons, he was interested in seeing how she was doing.
