CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY ONE

As Logan managed to board a taxi, the sunlight outside intensified, making his head spin. Despite the discomfort, he dialed Sam's number, who directed him to the ward where his grandfather was supposed to be kept. Upon arrival, Logan found Sam seated, looking genuinely glad to see him. Sam urged him to seat, and Logan, almost ready to complain again, played along, feigning surprise at the situation.

"How could he be kidnapped if you had security watching over him Sam?"

Sam, on the verge of yelling at Logan, snapped, "Stop acting like you're his grandson! Okay? The test results confirmed it – you're not."

Logan, maintaining his act, replied, "Okay, the test results confirmed it and I was never interested in the family. But how can our plan work without Mr Clarkson? Besides, I don't want to die in poverty."

Sam, somewhat relieved, assured Logan, "Relax. The security team will be back shortly. We'll check the CCTV footage, and everything will make sense."
