CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY ONE

On Mr Howard's fancy balcony under the moon, high up over the city, Logan and Mr. Howard kept contemplating about how to get down from the tall building. They really needed to hurry and leave, as the city lights below looked pretty, not matching the serious problem they were dealing with.

As they carefully maneuvered down the balcony, the gravity of Mr. Howard's disappearance had set off a frenzy in his home. Family members and guards, bewildered and alarmed, had initiated a search, involving law enforcement in the pursuit of a missing man.

As they hailed down a cab, the moment they got to the streets, Mr. Howard's instinct to reach out to his family kept troubling him as he retrieved his phone with the intention to make a reassuring call. Logan, however, intercepted the gesture, swiftly collecting the device.

"What are you doing?" Logan queried, a note of urgency in his voice.
