In the aftermath of the silenced shots, the room hung heavy with tension. The intruder, Pete, scanned the bed, his gaze fixated on the pillows, realization dawning upon him that Logan wasn't where he seemed.

Turning towards the opened door, Pete remained unaware that Logan, poised with a flower vase as an improvised weapon, crouched behind it. Another man, Pete's colleague, briskly entered the room, asking if got Logan, referring to the gunshots.

Pete, still focused on the empty bed, replied, "No, he's not around. He must be hiding somewhere here. We need to find him."

As they began to search, the two intruders scavenged the room for valuables, stuffing their pockets with anything they found fancy in Logan's room along with some cash. However, Pete's companion, less enticed by the allure of pilfered cash, addressed him, "Enough gold digging, Pete. We've got a job to do."
