Tik. Tik. Tik. Tik.
Tuk. Tuk. Tuk. Tuk.
Ticks that made my hair stand on end. It was like a clock hand rushing through time.
"F*ck! The MarMar Building is going to close," Don Kenneth swore almost uneasily at what was happening.
We had been walking for a while but we had not seen the door to the building. Suddenly out of nowhere Ronnie's twin, or should I say, his clone, multiplied himself to find the way to the City of Compenyo.
The two Ronnie talked and less than a few seconds later, the original spoke.
"I've found the way. Follow me," he said seriously. He walked hurriedly, almost running at a speed. We just kept following him until we reached a large wall with no door.
"How can we get into that, there's no door and the wall is too high. We can't climb that!" Clarice snapped.
"Is there another way maybe?" Fritzie said as she pointed her ear to the wall as if to find out what was going on inside.
"We don
"Argh," Ronnie yelled in the other room where the pellet placement was being carried out on him. "Ronnie's screaming which means the procedure is painful. I hope we can handle it," Fritzie said, who had been trembling with fear. "You can do it if Don can," Janet said staring at Don Kenneth. He hadn't been as loud as Ronnie but he couldn't hide the discomfort on his face when he came out of the room. "Are you ready Fritzie? You're next," Toffer teased and we laughed. Honestly, I was afraid of what could happen to me when I was fitted with a pellet. I felt like I wouldn't be able to handle it. "Oh, the first step is over. How are you feeling?" Darwin asked as Ronnie came out. I didn't know if I should laugh or feel sorry for his face. He looked utterly uncomfortable. "Let go and the pain you're feeling will go away too. Fritzie, you're next!" Toffer beckoned at Fritzie. "Can Clarice go first? Or can we go together?" she ask
"Sh*t! All the exits are closed!" Don Kenneth said, annoyed. Earlier we went around this very spacious building but we didn't see anyone get out. "If only the powers could be used here, I could do something!" Janet said angrily who had previously been irritated by what was happening. "I think it's okay." Fritzie replied. "Yes Fritzie, it's okay! But the reason why we don't use it because the creatures here can't know what we are. Right?" sighed Janet who was giving her a poker face. "Okay. But how can we find the antidote if we don't know where it came from?" Fritzie asked. "Viancs said the poison came from the City of Gen-Train and someone from them may have already entered here. It's not so wrong that we thought to go out of this building and find the answer in the City of Gen-Train because the answer is already here as well," Ronnie said watching the Penyos slowly run out.
"Arrrrggghhhhh!" I heard Don shout. Even though my face was so sore I still forced myself to stand up and saw him raise his hand releasing air and forcibly removing the crumbling walls. I could do nothing but just look at him. I was so mad at myself. I wanted to be angry. I wanted to hurt myself. Why did I choose to put the Director before us? "Bro, that's enough. There's nothing we can do," Darwin said try to stop Don from losing control. "We can't be lacking. We can't be missing anything," he replied, already on his knees at what was happening. I saw tears trickle down his two cheeks. "Maybe we can get everything back to normal," Janet said as she flicked her fingers to adjust the setting of the place. But nothing changed. "I may be able to change the setting of a place, but I can't afford to bring it back to normal," she added. Only now I saw her become sad despite her dull face. The rest of us were also emotionless as
We had been walking for a few hours but hadn't yet reached the very top of the mountain. Almost all of us were tired but Daryanara didn't look tired at all. "Aren't you tired yet, beautiful lady?" Ronnie asked. "Recruit Man De Anie?" Daryanara asked, making me laugh. "What did she say, Zeke? Why are you laughing?" he questioned with a raised eyebrow. He wanted to know what the beautiful lady who was with us had said. "That you look like Ramba!" Toffer shouted and we laughed. I noticed that Don Kenneth hadn't said a word since earlier. Rambato approached him and touched his pants. "What the hell! Stay away from me!" he shouted
"Goodmorning, Medallion Keepers!" Toffer was standing, smiling, in front of us. I adjusted my seat and sat up from lying down as I rubbed my eyes with my palms. "You're so noisy early in the morning!" Darwin groaned as he stood up from his reclining position. "What noise? It's noon. Look, Daryanara is pregnant!" he said to our surprise. Our eyes widened when we saw Daryanara's big belly. Seriously? We had closed our eyes for a night and she was already pregnant in the morning? How come? "Naah? When did that happen?" I wondered the question. "Do you want to know, Zeke?" Toffer laughed, teasing. Janet was annoyed with them while Don was looking at the emptiness without saying a word. Janet squeezed her hand but Toffer quickly made a counterattack so the rock on the floor was hit and turned into a frog. "Your voice sounds like a frog's!" Janet said who was already standing up in her seat. "Croak. Croak." Toffer imi
After more than an hour of walking on the water, we reached the City of Adminer. We were amazed at what we saw. It was probably the coolest place I had ever seen. Clean water surrounded the whole city with lush trees bearing fruits in the middle of it. Their habitat was made of a variety of shells that were super fresh to the eye of the beholder. "Their place is very nice," Ciara said with undeniable amazement. "They're beautiful. Their bodies are terrible. Sh*t!" Ronnie said as his saliva almost dropped from what he saw. "Behave yourself!" an annoyed Ruffa said. I couldn't blame Ronnie because even I couldn't control myself. The creatures in the Adminer city were barely wearing anything. Their delicate body parts were simply wrapped in water with animal scales and tiny clams as the design. All the creatures had no hair. They were all bald but you could still see their elegance and beauty. Also noticeable were the fins on their
"Wow!" We were all amazed at what we saw. It was as if we were underwater where all kinds of sea creatures could be seen. "It's better when you enter the deepest part of the city," Darwin said with a smile. "Behind this beautiful place, what is hidden here?" Don asked seriously, looking around the whole place. "Where are Vergel and the old Mineri? I thought there was a big gathering going on?" Toffer asked, bringing me back to reality. Of course, we were there to face the Director. "I don't know either. But there's no trace of Vergel here," I said, confused. "I don't think we're at the right place," said Darwin as his feet began to ache. "F*ck! It's a trap! It's a trap!" Toffer yelled as he moved quickly out of the door but was stopped by it suddenly closing. "Guys, take a look." Ruffa's words startled us. Water oozed out of the ceiling at a terrifying pace. "We can't be locked up here!" Ruffa shouted as she quickly str
"Dark Mind is awake." Toffer smiled as Clarice greeted us. "You cheated, Zeke. You slept so long while we were out only for two hours," Ronnie added. "Huh? How long did I sleep?" I asked. "Twilight and sunlight just caught up with you," an annoyed Janet said. "That long?" I asked. "Yeah! And how much you've missed that event!" groaned Ciara. "What's going on? Why are y'all wearing the same type of clothes?" I questioned again. They were all wearing different colored jackets and pants. They also had scarves on their foreheads that said "Buddy Power". "You can wear it when you can keep up with practice!" Don said as he gave me the black jacket and pants. "That's our training uniform. It's per-color according to the medallion we're holding," said Fritzie. "Will anyone tell me what happened other than what Clarice told me?" I asked. Almost all of their eyes were on me. "Later you'll know everything. Bu
