Kent extended his hand towards Daniel for a handshake. "Nice to meet you, Daniel." Kent was the first one to speak. "Likewise, Daniel." Kent said in return, as he shook Daniel's hand. "Great! Please take a seat, guys. I'll just ask someone to get us some drinks and snacks." Angela smilingly informs them. Unbeknownst to her, Kent and Daniel are staring at each other straight in the eye, as they see each other as rivals when it comes to Angela's love and attention. ================================ "Are you aware that Daniel and Kent are inlove with you?" Sally suddenly asked Angela a million-dollar question. Angela called Sally and begged her to have a sleepover at her house. She really needs someone to talk to at this critical time. Few hours ago, Kent asked her to meet him at the Waldorf University rooftop. After all of their classes, they both met up at the rooftop. Angela had a surprise
Dana looks around at the ancestral house of the family where her Maternal. Aunt lives, which is Aunt Maggie. This ancestral house was built during the Spanish era. The sliding window is made of capiz.. .The houses foundation is made of red bricks, and they have a grand staircase. She feels like she's being transported back to the past. Dana smugly smiled at her strange thoughts. This would be a perfect place for hopeless romantics. But for a realistic person like her, this place looks boring like hell. "This might be an old house, but I can assure you that it's safe here and comfortable. You have a king-sized bed in your room." Aunt Maggie told her, as they are climbing up the grand staircase. Dana just sighed in frustration. "Yeah, whatever." she mumbled, while rolling her eyes heavenward. This will be your room, Dana... This is also where your mom used to sleep." Aunt Maggie stated, as they enter a certain room. Dana
The next day. Dana woke up in a good mood the next morning. She did some stretching, while calculating on how many hours did she sleep last night. She realizes that she slept for exactly eight hours. When she was still in the Metropolitan City, she's having a difficult time sleeping because she's been mostly out partying with friends, until the wee hours in the morning. She took a quick glance on her left foot. It's not fully recovered, but the good thing is, it's not that swollen anymore, and it doesn't hurt that much. Her mind went back to what happened yesterday. The annoying guy, who's name is Anthony, escorted her back into his house as he carefully assisted her. His mother warmly welcomed her into their house, and she was the one who did the first aid on her swollen foot. Afterwards, the woman treated her with a nice cup of warm tea and some pastries. It was not the expensive kind of treat, but nevertheless, it was very d
The day of the mango harvesting finally came. Dana woke up at 3:30 am, and she's all set and ready at four o'clock in the morning. She's getting used to waking up early in the morning, and she's starting to like it. She went to the kitchen to make herself a cup of hot coffee. She's drinking her coffee while enjoying the coldness and peacefulness of this morning... At exactly 4:30 in the morning, Anthony is finally at their doorsteps, waiting for her because they are going together to the mango farm. Before she and Anthony can finally go to the farm, her Aunt Maggie gave them last-minute reminders. "Please watch over my niece, Anthony." Aunt Margie reminded Anthony. "I promise I will take care of her, Aunt Maggie." Anthony made a promise. Dana almost rolled her eyes heavenward. Her Aunt is really an old-fashioned type of person, but she can't really blame her. She knows that she's just trying to protect her. A
Anthony have been visiting her house every now and then, as he continues to romantically pursue Dana. Dana is getting used to Anthony presence, and she's really enjoying his company, and somehow... She's starting to have special feelings for him. On this rainy afternoon, Anthony and Dana are having a heart-to-heart talk... "I want to be very honest with you from the start, that's why I need to tell you something. Just promise me that you'll give me a chance and listen to me with an open mind..." Anthony started, while looking so serious. "Okay, I promise." Dana sincerely promised. "I think it's time for you to know my family's real identity." Anthony faltered on his words. "You're starting to get really mysterious, Anthony. Stop with this suspense and just tell me everything." Dana insisted. "I'm sorry for keeping a secret from you, Dana. But I hope it won't change your mind about me." Anthony ner
One year have passed. Dana heaved a sigh of relief when the Japanese Immigration Officer gave an approval stamp on her passport. She's been real worried while she was standing on line because she's been hearing lots of horror stories on the internet about the strict Immigration process and interview inside the Japanese airports. There were some cases wherein tourists will be asked to fly back to their own countries if something is missing in their documents or any problems with their travel papers. It's good to know there were no issues with her own documents. She can relax now and enjoy her whole trip in Tokyo, Japan... When she finished all the things she needed to do,she's now walking with luggage cart, and she's making her way way towards the Arrival Area. She looked around as she tried to find Anthony and his twin sister Andrea from the crowd of people waiting at the arrival area. She lets out a big smile when she saw the two of them excitedly waving at her.
Dana noticed the white towel rolled up and placed on a wooden square. Anthony seemed to notice it too so he spoke again. "It's called "Oshibori," Dana. You can use it to clean your hands before eating." he said, as he unfolded the wet white towel and wiped it on his hand. Dana imitated what Anthony did. It was comfortably warm, and she feels better. She couldn't help but be impressed by the things he saw in Japan, which is why he was sure he would enjoy his stay here. Their conversation was interrupted when a waitress came with a tray full of food. When the food was placed on the table and when the waitress left, Andrea spoke this time. "They call it "yakitori," Dana. It's grilled chicken on a stick and it's one of the famous Japanese foods.” she relayed. Dana took a chicken stick and bit into it. "Hmm! He is delicious!” “—and this is the deep fried chicken they call “Karaage.” This is the salad so that we d
Angela suddenly looked at Anthony."Oh, I'm okay. Congratulations to the both of you, and I am looking forward to your wedding. And hey, don't forget to call Mom and Dad and tell them the good news!" she suggested. "Oh, right. I almost forgot about them. Thanks, Angela!" Anthony quickly opens his phone to do a video call to their parents to tell them the exciting news... When Angela glances back to look at the mysterious man with the camera, he was already nowhere to be found... "Where are you, Mr. Cameraman?" she asked to herself, while feeling a pang of disappointment... ================================ The next day.Angela slowly opened her eyes. She saw the bright sun shining in her room. She whispered a prayer of thanks for this wonderful winter morning in Japan. Afterwards, she finally got out from her bed. She noticed that it wasn't too cold today because the sun is shining brightly. Af
