Kane woke up early and went for a jog. Fortunately, there were parks near him where he could go jogging even when he was in the countryside. He thought that living in the countryside would mean that he would live somewhere near the sea or near the farms. He was actually relieved that the place where Mr. Romero sent him was a civilized one.
He took his phone and plugged his earphone before he started jogging. The first reason was to keep him from being bored and the second reason was to block the noise around him. He savored the wind blowing past him as he ran.
That was the peace that he had been looking for. Though he could not remember, Kane seemed to be yearning for that kind of serenity. Even just for a day, he planned to set aside everything and just let himself do the things he wanted to do. He was sure that after that day, he would be busy training his ability and suppressing the monster within him.
