Sector twenty one, planet Rooster, Seven. The second day of the investigation I got a call from none other than Lilia’s brother, Hank. The timing was great, and by that I mean it didn’t happen when I was training with Lisa. I don’t know how I would explain to my brother in law what I was doing behind his sister’s back. He had a few things to report. The first was that the planetary defense system that I had ordered has been installed, the second was something I was anticipating for a while now, though it was surprising to hear nonetheless. Apparently after doing a more thorough scan of Gorgola they discovered something strange. Two strong energy signatures, one on an island near the north pole and another near the forest where Lilia and I used to live, specifically the hole where the lab was located. In the case of the hole it seems that there is a Glassume vein that goes through that area, and a big one at that, however there is a problem with it. It was hyper charged with electri
Just as she said I noticed shadowy figures peeking from behind the rocks on the cliffs and small caves left and right. With their presence exposed they stopped bothering to hide and showed themselves in an attempt to intimidate us by their sheer number. They kinda look like your stereotypical desert dwellers.[Well this is a desert and they’re its dwellers.]“Seven…” Lilia looked my way showing a bit of concern.I doubt they’re anything Lilia can’t handle. We fought anthropomorphic tigers just recently, well, Lilia did, not to mention our encounter with Verta. I honestly can’t see your average gang being anything more than an annoyance so if Lilia is worried then the only reason she has would be me.“Don’t worry, I’m fine.” I said with a small smile. Lilia nodded at me then looked ahead. A few meters down the road I noticed a cloud of dust form as some vehicles, or what I thought was a vehicle, made it’s way toward us. After stopping we learned that it was a Gitan, an armadillo like
“Good.” The high ground allowed me to get a better look and I could already see the road to eliminating the unlucky bandits who’ve yet to process the fact that their leader is dead.Pressing on my right foot I launched myself toward the next target reaching him in a single step before impaling him as well. The way I’m able to close long distances without having to run felt good. It was like one of those high speed movement techniques you see in anime. The bandits began to panic as they watched their comrades fall one by one. From their point of view it must’ve looked like I’m disappearing just to appear in front of them leaving little room for retaliation. [Slow down.] The voice in my head said as I stopped to catch my breath. [The red juice is running out.]C’mon! The fun is just getting started![You’re already failing to control your emotions. And your movements are sloppy. There is no point in continuing with this.]Booo…As always, Iris’s judgment was right on the spot leaving
Gram city might be the only place on Rooster where people can have a normal life. What you’re met with after your first step behind the outer wall is a rocky desert all the way to the horizon. A barren land without a single blade of grass to be seen.I already knew this side of the planet barely sees the sun but to think it would be this cold and dry compared to the city. That made me wonder if they have some kind of overpowered air conditioner in there. We walked for about an hour and a half following the track shown on Giran's book facing no trouble ever since the first ambush. Apparently other criminals were lurking around and saw what I did with the leftover pirates. Added to that the stories about the blond butcher and no idiots had the thought of showing themselves letting us traverse the canyon without worry. Just in case I had ghost girl do the only thing she is good at and fly to a higher altitude to look for potential sniper spots. Apparently this was within her skill set a
Sector twenty one, planet Rooster, the Grand Canyon outside Gram city, Seven."How about you hire me?" Standing in front of us with the space craft behind him was a male Herara covered in white fur. I’m unable to see his back from where I’m standing but the stripes on his arms and face are light blue, same as the other anthropomorphic tigers we met the other day. He was about five feet tall which made him look smaller compared to his now dead companions. His arms looked thicker as well and his hands were closer to paws than actual hands with claws peeking out.He wore a pair of grayish green pants with oversized pockets and boots so large they could fit bigfoot. On his belt a number poaches were strapped and at his side hanged a tool set much like what you would see on a mechanic.Cold may not be a problem with all the fur that’s covering him, still I can’t believe he’s fine going out topless. The most notable thing about him are the huge goggles on top of his head, seeing them I al
Sector twenty one, planet Rooster, Gram city, Seven.Pain. “I know being pathetic is practically a part of you, but don’t you think you’re taking it too far?”Back in our hotel room I listened to Iris’s harsh words as I lay face down on the bed. I’ve lost the will to live. I can no longer see a reason to keep going.“I want to die…”“Stop exaggerating it. You acted like a creep so it’s only natural that things went that way.”“But… ugh…”[We’ve only known each other for a few days and I’m already exhausted from dealing with you.] Her voice moved into my head as she continued berating me. [You get depressed far too easily. How about you try being optimistic for once?]“I don’t think I can… I wanna die…”~◇~ "I will vow for him."I think we all felt some surprise hearing Lilia say that. Logan Thundercloud, the fur covered male Herara, almost jumped in his place as he looked at Lilia in disbelief. He then quickly bowed his head thanking her again and again."THANK YOU! LADY STONEHEART
Sector twenty one, planet Rooster, Gram city.Seven was bothered by Lilia’s strange behavior so he tried to get done with his shower as fast as possible. When he came out however he found that his wife had already fallen asleep after eating only one slice of pizza. With no choice other than to leave his questions for tomorrow he took her to the bed then ate his share of the pie before joining her. After blacking out for a while Seven’s mind booted up on its own. Noticing nothing out of the ordinary he was about to go back to the dream world, however a blue glow in the corner of his eye caught his attention. The room was dark, the lights still off same as he left them before falling asleep. He carefully touched the area to his right but found nothing. Lilia seems to have left the bed a while ago as her side has lost its warmth. Getting up he rubbed his eyes then headed toward the blue light.“Can’t sleep?” Seven asked.“Eh? S-sorry did I wake you up…” Lilia was on the couch absentmi
Seven leaned forward, squinting his eyes at the window. “N-no…” Lilia cried weakly, her breath refusing to settle. “Don’t look…”“Lilia…”It showed a picture of two little girls. One had a clean well kept short blue hair. Her stature was so small, her limbs so thin. Her pale skin told of her relationship with the sun. The blue haired little Zesionien looked so frail it wouldn’t be unbelievable for her to fall from a single breath, however despite everything her thin smile and the light in her eyes showed the hope and determination. Seven recognized the girl. She was Lilia’s late friend and the ghost sharing his body. Though she had small dark brown horns on her head instead of the cat ears he’d grown familiar with, Seven recognized Iris almost immediately. But the girl beside her, he hesitated to ask.“Lilia… who are these two?” He asked, looking behind him.Lilia had recovered from his attack and was now covering her face with both hands. She was too embarrassed to look him in the
