Okay, maybe I have been a little too quick in jumping to conclusions; this is an alien planet after all. Although the shopping area was what I may describe as an oversized mall, maybe five or six times the size of any large mall with thousands of shops occupying more space than needed, on the display windows none of the objects I saw made any sense in the freaking least, except for the mannequins dressed in clothes.
Like, what is that thing? What does it even do? I can't even read its name or price!
[That's a vase.] Said Iris. I started to notice her ears twitch a little every time she has something to tell.
You gotta be kidding right? How in
Sector twenty one, planet Rooster, Gram city, Seven. "BEAUUUUUTIFUL!!!! GORGEOUS!!! UNBELIEVEBAL!!!!" "Umu, we will take it." "YES, YES! Thank you!" Said the shop owner, gasping for air while a huge grin let droll leak from her mouth. She was a Zesionien female, shorter than Lilia with a really slim body. She has short dark red hair and a pair of glasses she constantly tries to keep in place. "P-p-p-please… hah… try this too… hah…" She ran around the shop in a frenzy gathering the best of her works, and the one going through all the trouble of trying them on was Lilia. "Eh!?… but…" Lilia looked my way asking for rescue. At the moment she is wearing a
Looking at it now that I'm alone, I can't shake the uneasiness caused by the starry night sky still being visible even with all the illumination in this urban street. It’s meaningless to think about it since I won’t really understand even if someone gave me a detailed scientific explanation, but as I wait for Lilia to finish shopping I had to keep my mind busy or I would start thinking about the blue haired guy. well, at least half of that is true.Remember when I said that the shop Lilia wanted to visit might be one guys have nothing to do with? Well turns out it's a lingerie shop. After the small conflict inside me settled I decided to wait outside, mainly because all of the people inside are females. Something struck me as strange was the multiplicity of races there, even though it's supposed to be a
Sector twenty one, Planet Rooster, Gram city, Lilia.Sometimes I find myself awakening for no reason. My body tells me I had enough and it's about time I start my day, even if in actuality I didn't sleep that much. I never really considered it a bother, but a rule had to be followed in those occasions; to never go back to sleep once my eyes are open and breaking that rule leads to oversleeping.Today I broke that rule, I then woke up to find out that Seven, who was asleep at my right last time I saw him, was now gone. I overslept. I actually overslept to the point that Seven woke up and left the bed.The faint sound the water made came from the bathroom informing me of his whereabouts. It’s the second time this has happened. I felt frustrated, like I had lost some kind of contest, and w
Sector twenty one, Planet Rooster, Gram city, Seven. That was... a really eventful night. Part of me argues that nothing actually happened, or at least what I expected to happen didn't. But it was a good night. Yeah, not disappointed, not at all.It was stressful, but good.Anyways. Since this place is thousands of light years -millions, maybe?- away from earth I never expected to have a decent meal with a name actually related to what it's made of. Hearing about something called pineapple pie dropped my expectations, wore leather boots and stumped them repeatedly. Lilia has a sweet tooth so I thought it wouldn’t be strange for her to order dessert first but knowing what little I know about Zesion food I tried not to link sweet sounding names with sweet food. And then it arrived. Hey, ghost girl.“What is it, human?”Wasn’t Lilia acting a little strange?"You think so?"Yeah, not only did she avoid eye contact, she barely said anything when I spoke to her as well."Maybe sleeping with you wasn't so comfortable after all."Probably...Following Lilia’s order I quickly left the bath. The moment I stepped out she handed me her book and went in to get her morning shower. The book had an ongoing call with Blitz Firestone, commander of the Zesionien Space Fleet Center of Operations 0303, which was the military base closest to both Gorgola and Rooster.&Last man on earth when there is no earth? Ch 5.2
It was no joke when Lilia said there isn’t much to see on Rooster. As a tourist spot, Gram city fails horribly. I wonder if it has something to do with Zesioniens being the dominant race.Well, not that we’re here to play. It seems like I’m about to get some special secret training from the ghost of a dead warrior which is why we must make sure no one sees us. Having went through the map Iris decided on two locations we could go to.The first is somewhere outside the city. However to get there we have to go through the slums to reach the outer walls, which is dangerous in itself, but the grand canyon surrounding the city is a known hangout spot for lowlifes and going there is just asking for trouble. The second is the obvious choice, Gram city’s central park.As the name suggests
The number of people passing us decreased the further we went into one of the paths behind the statue and at some point we were left completely alone.“Strange…”What is it?“I mean, it’s only normal since Lilia isn’t here, but don’t you think you had far fewer eyes following you?”Now that you said it…Guess my presence is too insignificant, not worth paying attention to. I already knew my beautiful wife was the one drawing all those eyes, but it’s somewhat disheartening to know no alien has an interest in me.“The one that’s been flowing us since we left has retreated as well.&rdquo
Sector twenty one, planet Rooster, Gram city, Seven.“I’ve been thinking of asking you this for a while.”As we were on our way back Iris brought up something important.“What do you plan to do going forward?”I don’t know. A part of me wants a quiet life with Lilia but I doubt getting there would be easy.“Aren’t you supposed to investigate what happened to humanity or something?”Nope.“What about your lost memories?”I don’t really care about those.&ldqu
