Sector twenty one, Logan. For as long as I can remember, I was always fascinated by anything that could fly. Whether it's the birds flapping their wings or the aircrafts roaming the sky, I admired anything unbound by the ground and yearned for the clouds and the never-ending void beyond them. However very early on I learned that life had no interest in letting me have a try.I came from a poor family, one of many pushed into the wildness of the forests surrounding the main cities. What made it worse was my stature. Unlike those my age I had a small built which made finding work hard with no education or connections to rely on, and so I turned to thievery trying to survive. That didn't last long though. I didn't get caught or anything, it's just that one day I met a young female who stole my heart, and to make it work between the two of us I had to have something more stable to build our house on. Between the things I got my hands on were engineering books. Being poor didn't drown my
Sector twenty one, Logan.I was about to pitch in the plan I had thought of, however I was a fool not to expect the fearsome clan head to already have a counter for it. We weren’t allowed to watch. After a quick word with master Seven we would be escorted back to the previous room underneath the arena were we would wait for the results of the duel."Stay calm." Master whispered. "I can do something about that guy… probably.""Probably?..." obviously, I had my doubts. Master seem to have powers of his own, but the uneasiness creeping on my tail told me they won’t be enough."You done yet?" The clan head, standing at a distance, shouted as he waited for us to finish our talk."Yeah yeah, I'm ready, what about weapons?" Master Seven replied."Weapons? You have perfectly fine pairs of arms and legs." I got to watch master Seven train once in the past few days. He never seems to use any type of weapon, but then again he doesn’t do any combat practice. Even if the clan head is going in ba
"So, what are we going to do now?"We left the waiting room through the entrance we came from the first time. According to Ms. Lilia going back using the elevator could get us caught up in the brawl so she plans on finding another way to reach the arena. It's only been a few days since I've known her. From the few times we’ve interacted and seeing how close she became with Blue I formed this image about her being a sweet young female. That image is now being shattered by the blood dripping from her hair and dress and the gun she held in her hands. As we walked down the hallway I gathered the courage to ask what our next step would be. “Wash up, that’s for sure.” Ms. Erika said jokingly, her face a shade paler than usual. "We have to wait for Seven to get done so…” Said Brayan.“I need to get up there.” Ms. Lilia said. “It looks like most combatants are watching the duel. I will go there and wait for Seven’s instructions.”That seemed like the logical way to go through with this, but
Sector twenty one, Verta clan’s mothership, Seven.I might have miscalculated my chances at winning quite a bit.Turns out fighting a giant lightning spitting tiger is nothing like fighting the humanoid version with human level intelligence and everything else that comes with a kong fu panda character. We started with a staring contest that lasted for about a minute. Don't know why but just standing there made me feel uneasy so I took a fighting stance I vaguely remember from some game I played.I checked my cores and prepared to channel the red energy throughout my body. Though I’ve refined quite a bit in the past few days, doubts crawled on me serving as a constant reminder that it might not be enough. Hopefully I wouldn’t need to rely on Iris’s Lightning but that could turn out to be a luxury we can’t afford. The clan head took a stance as well, his claws at the ready, his fangs visible. I expected his to know some kind of martial arts. Something tells me he’s an expert in tiger fi
The clan head didn't just stand in his place and wait for Seven. His first step always had incredible speed behind it, but the rest of his movement were normal at best. Seven avoided his right and like Iris instructed he punched him in the side, then in the stomach. It didn't have much effect but man does it feel nice to finally land a hit!Iris yelled at him to get a hold on Hir while he had the chance but he refused to listen. The head tried to stab his claws into Seven's back but both his arms were deflected followed by an apricot to the jaw that rattled his brain and made him stumble backward. Before he fell Seven wrapped his arms around his waist hugging him like the giant plushy he is."I'm taking everything you got, don't hold a grudge, alright!!?"Seven had yet to notice how strong he really is. Even without using his powers, just putting a little strength in his arms was enough to make the clan head desperate to free himself. You can't really blame him as the fingers in both
Feeling stuck in a corner, Hir stopped bothering with the human stealing energy from him. He released his power healing his broken bones and growing back his fallen fangs at an unbelievable speed. His fur turned snow white, all the blue stripes he had vanished and blue energy sparked all over his body. For a moment Iris noticed that they’re able to draw ten times the amount they did before, but that didn’t last long. While Seven was still holding him down, Hir suddenly vanished."Where th-" a sharp pain ran through Seven's left and the next thing he realized was him slamming into the ceiling. As he made his way back to the ground he was met with another attack. Though he was able to guard against it this time, that did little to reduce the speed or force and he ended up rolling on the floor after a rather painful impact sound."Fugh! You really caused me some trouble just now, didn't you?" With his left hand on his right shoulder, Hir slowly walked toward Seven while rotating his ar
Sector twenty one, the Verta clan’s mothership. Lilia.“Damn it!” Brayan cursed by my side, his expression twisting with anger.“This doesn’t look good…” Erika said in a whisper, her eyes shifting toward me.We were hiding behind a corner as a number of Herara shot at us from down the hallway. It was quite the bothersome situation; we’re outnumbered five to one, which normally wouldn’t have been a problem, but since we didn’t have our weapons it’s much more difficult to advance. I couldn’t just charge at them without my spear. As the storm of bullets flashed through the hallway I began to lose faith in my choice. When it was time to split up it was decided that I would accompany Brayan and Erika to the ship while Logan would go look for our weapons and something else we could use to support Seven. There are two reasons behind us choosing this course of action. The first is that Logan wanted me to check on Blue to make sure she is fine. The second reason is Erika’s condition. With the
Sector twenty one. The Verta clan’s mothership. “It is very nice to make your acquaintance, honorable Zesionien warriors.” Standing at the entrance was a female Herara of a small stature. The first thing that caught Lilia’s eyes was the snow white hair flowing behind her, then the tail that seemed much fuzzier than that of the only other female Herara she had met so far. Her eyes had a silver color that gleamed with intelligence and wisdom. Her skin was pale, almost translucent with a hint of pink on her cheeks. The female Herara walked into the room and the door closed behind her. Her eyes shifted from Brayan to Erika then to Lilia, a small smile drawn on her lips all the while.“You seem to be in such a dire situation.” She said.Lilia pointed her gun, but the female Herara didn’t even flinch. That told them she wasn’t just some delicate civilian who’s sheltered from danger.“What do you want?” Lilia asked. “Is that how you show appreciation to the ones who help you?” The female
