Gunther got onto his scooter, riding as fast as he could. He was already late for his second part-time job, knowing too well that his boss was going to be furious.
His hands paddled faster, his legs going round the clock in circles making his beating hard go even faster.
A few moments ahead, he could already see the building just ahead of him and a sigh of relief escaped from his mouth but he knew for sure that it wasn't over yet.
But before he could get to the gate of the building, a strange force pulled him off the road, making him stumble on the road.
A slight groan of pain escaped from his mouth as he stood up, his scooter all in ruins.
His eyes paired up, meeting with the hateful glares of one of his colleagues, sitting in his Corolla car as his car window wounded up, revealing the hateful glares on his lips
"You punk. Have you gone blind or something?" Darius's words were like daggers flung in Gunther's direction.
"You were the one that came after me and should be the one apologizing instead." His anger was beginning to flung up but a chuckle was the only response that he got.
His eyes paired towards the direction of his scooter and his angers soared up even more.
"You are angry because of that garbage that you call an automobile?" How pathetic." Darius laughed even harder as he started the car engine, riding directly in Gunther's direction that he had to flee from the war.
Gunther's heart continued to make the hard beating sound, making him to gasp for breath.
He caught a swift stare at his scooter and a sigh escaped from his lips. He was working this hard because his mother was very sick and he was the one taking care of her.
And also, he bad used all his money to pay for Ariel's fees. His girlfriend. She had informed him that it was way too urgent.
But it meant absolutely nothing to him. They loved each other so much and had to be there for her.
He was never going to forgive himself if she dropped out from school because of him and besides, he still had a few days before his mother's medical fees was going to expire.
Pulling off to the floor, he picked up the scooter with the thought that he was going to get it fixed once he was done with what he was doing.
His heart raced faster as he shot a glance at the torn wrist watch in his hands.
"That punk?" He growled under his breath, leaping on his hurt legs towards his boss's office.
He yanked the door open and immediately his boss laid his eyes on him, his face twisted into a swift frown.
Without spitting out even a single word from his mouth, he stared at the clock and back at him.
Gunther already got the message that he was trying to pass across to him even though there was not even a single exchange of words
"I'm sorry sir. I was caught up in an accident." Gunther apologized swiftly. He could see Darius, the cause of his later coming standing overhead with a dark smile playing on his face.
"More like he wants to be late. No wonders if he is so poor. Boss you should not take him with him, else it's certainly going to become a habit." Darius advanced, storming passed him with a twitch in his nostrils.
"I'm sorry sir." Gunther squeezed his hands, trying as hard he could to control himself as Darius stormed off from the office.
Walking over to him, his boss shot a swift kick on his injured legs, making him drop to the floor almost immediately, the pain radiating throughout his whole body and streams of sweat gradually following from the corner of his face.
"Fool. Isn't it enough that I have to be employed here already?" His teeth gritted under his breath, loud enough for Gunther to hear.
His hands squeezed into a frown but the only thing that he could see was that smiley face of Ariel and that of his mother unconscious in the hospital
He could not abandon them now.
"You are going to work double today. That's if you want to pay." His boss said, returning swiftly back to his seat as the words stripped into Gunther's ears.
"But." He was about to say but his boss would not allow him to slide another word from his mouth.
He turned around with a fierce swift and said.
"Did I just hear you saying something?" He inquired. "You no longer want this job?" He added with a dark stare over his face.
Knowing how difficult it was for a student to get a job in the city, he shook his head swiftly.
"No. I didn't say anything." He replied swiftly.
"That's good to know. Now get back to work before I change my mind." He returned to him.
He pulled a swift hope from the floor, took his bath, and got into his suit and his gloves.
"VVIP room 312. Don't mess this up." The person who passed the parcel over to him snared and he nodded his head.
Rolling the tray over, his phone continued to make numerous beeping sounds in his pocket and he could not avoid it anymore.
He paused for a moment to catch his breath and brought out his cell phone from his pocket to check out the messages that wouldn't let him have a taste of air.
"3000 messages." His class group chat read.
His heart almost pulled off from the chest almost immediately. Swift thoughts ran through his mind.
"Is it an emergency test?" He thought as he quickly opened it up but it turned out that he was wrong.
It was just some trendy videos and from the proceeding videos, he could tell that it was another event of a sex tape.
"I can't believe that Williams fucks this good. I wish that I was the one in the position of that girl." A message read.
His teeth gritted into a frown almost immediately. Williams was the class playboy and the father the wealthiest person in the full school and due to his contributions, no one would dare point a finger at his son.
"I wonder who is the fool that feels for his foolish tricks this time." He thought under his breath.
"Did you guys read the announcement? He is even willing to get married to her and a public announcement has been made."
"I'm dying of suspense already. Can you guys spill the name of this lucky girl already?" Multiple messages popped up after.
A slight sigh escaped from Gunther's lips. He wanted to replace the cell phone in his pocket but then he noticed something really strange that snapped his lungs swiftly out of air.
It was her name, Ariel.
He paused for a while, his heart racing fast as he tried to control his breath.
"Have you been made to believe that Ariel is going to cheat on you? Come on man. know her way too well." He reminded himself.
But there was something that wanted to find out for himself. He made a quick pause.
"No." He muttered. "I'm never going to forgive myself if I eventually find out that she isn't the one." He reminded himself with a really deep breath.
Gunther replaced his cell phone in his pocket as he made his way back to the room that he had been assigned to.
His heart was beating hard against his chest as though it was going to burst through.
"What took you so long." The voice that came afterward had every sense of arrogance around it.
"Do you even realize that you are two minutes late?" He yakked further and Gunther went ahead to apologize.
"I'm sorry sir." He pulled off the tray from the rack and was about to place it on the table close to the bed when a shockwave went through his spine.
His face Paired up and they met with Ariel's sparkling eyes.
His heart seemed to have been frozen, the glass that he held in his hands lay free as they dropped to the floor.
Ariel's name quivered on his lips, the sense of recognition crawling up in his head.
"Ariel." The words came forward like multiple shatters.
Gunther fell back in his steps, his face all washed up in shock as the sign before him seemed unbelievable. The wall around his world seemed to crumble, words not enough to describe his utmost shock.Williams gritted his hands with so much anger as they formed into a ball."You fool. Do you realize what you have done and how much that cost?" He thundered, his face crimson with anger. But Gunther could hardly hear a word of what he was saying as he muttered once again."Ariel."Ariel was stunned to see him there as she was never informed that he was working in a hotel. Her heart was already beating hard against her chest as Williams walked gradually towards them."Do you know this piece of junk?" Williams inquired with a stiff frown hovering on his face. But she was afraid to spit out a word from her mouth. Thoughts of everything that she had planned had been blown up.Soon, his shocks melted into stalk anger as he shot a fierce stare at him.“Ariel? You are cheating on me?”"Why don't
"Why don't you do it already? It's not like you have any dignity." Ariel said with a mocking glare on her face.“You should do as you have been told already. You have a sick mother in the hospital as I stabled upon by mistakes. You wouldn't want her dying because of your crazy ego right?” She shot a deadly glare towards Gunther's direction.Gunther stared at them, his face all washed up with anger staring at the both of them.Even if he did as he was requested to, he knew Williams very well and he was so cunning. Thoughts ran through his head as he pushed the security officers away from himself. He walked gradually towards Williams staring right into his face."Don't worry. It's not going to taste like your junk feet." Williams added with a dark smile on his face but Gunther only snorted, spitting on his face."I would rather lick a dog's feet than lick yours." He responded swiftly.Williams could not believe the words that he just heard as his anger spiked. The security officer trie
There was confusion in his eyes as he continued to watch the strange drama that unfolded right before him.Random thoughts ran through his mind as to what could be going on.Could it be a joke that they were only trying to play games with him? What if it was all the work of the Mafia lord?Gunther was gripped with fear as he fell to the ground and bowed his head in panic."I have done nothing wrong. All I have made sure all my life is to do good and nothing other than that." There was fright in his voice as he continued to shiver.Everyone was frightened to their brain seeing what was going on before them.Their faces all broke out in cold sweat and they swiftly fell to the floor, their hearts regularly skipping beats."We are sorry young master. Please get, you are going to get all of us killed." They pleaded. And for the first time, he quickly raised his head, his eyes brightened as he went further to say."So you weren't planning to kill me?" He swiftly inquired but the shake of th
His father held on tightly to him, hugging him tightly around his neck."But how were you able to find me?" He could not help it but Inquired. At the sound of the words, a slight sign escaped from the mouth of his father.A sight that proceeded a lot of suspense making the beating of his heart go much faster."I think you should sit now." His father gestured to the sofa that was lying just ahead of him.He walked gradually towards it and he sat."I'm not going to lie to you. I have always known that you are alive." He finally said. The words almost made his eyes bulge out from his eye sockets.Multiple thoughts ran through his mind. Thoughts of having a father that was at least comfortable but he had to beg on the street to leave."But why would you do such a thing? Did you hate me that much?" He inquired with tears in his eyes as he finally pulled away from his father."What could make you watch me leave in so much agony." He yelled. His father attempted to speak but Mr. Gerald Youn
Gunther signed the documents and afterward, he handed them over to his father."Welcome back." His father whispered into his ears, hugging him once again. He was glad to be back, sipping in a really deep breath as he spoke. His father brought Forward a card and handed it over to him. "What's this father?" He could not help but inquire."A platinum card." He finally explained. "It's Worth ten billion dollars and it's my happy birthday gift to you." He explained mImmediately he spat out the words from his mouth, the car fell off swiftly to the floor, his heart still beating hard against his chest. He went down to the card and picked it up. The highest amount of money that he had ever held all his life was the sum of ten thousand dollars gotten as a donation for his mother's treatment. If anyone had ever told him that he was going to be holding such a large amount of money, he never would have believed."But." He was about to say but his father would not allow him to spit out even a s
Gunther's hands were clenched, surging swiftly towards her as he held tightly to her scrub."How dare you throw my mother away as though she is some piece of trash?" He fired under his breath. If there was anything to him. Be could take it but treating his mother who raised him as though she was nothing, was something that he could not bear. His hands were clenched with anger and his teeth gritted as he continued to stare right into her eyes. For the first time since they met, Jenifer was scared of Gunther as she never thought he could be this aggressive."Why am I even afraid? He is in the hospital and this place is more like my territory. There is absolutely nothing that he can do to me." She muttered under his breath with a frown.Jennifer pulled Gunther off from her body swiftly, bracing herself up."You can't do anything to me, Gunther. Or whatever it is that you are called. Go get your trash off from the corridor.""Call my mother trash again and I am going to make sure that yo
At the sound of what he just said, Doctor Joy frowned and Jennifer turned around towards her."Were you even listening to a word of what I have been saying?" Joy inquired with a stale stare on her face. But before Gunther could get the chance to answer the question that had been flung towards his direction, Jennifer chimed in."I told you that his mother's ailment has gotten deep into his head. What he needs now is a psychiatric hospital and nothing other than that."Gunther frowned at her, going ahead to say. "I think you are the one that needs it more. At least if it's going to help out with this bad manners of yours." Gunther replied with an emotionless expression on his face, returning his gaze to the doctor."Now tell me, what's the price of this VVIP section?" He inquired swiftly.Even though the doctor was fed up and wanted to give up, she was able to contain it as it was one of her qualifications as a doctor and she went ahead to say."A hundred million Dollars." She shook he
Jennifer, the nurse, couldn't believe what just happened. The doctor, Joy, was also taken aback but unfortunately faced a dilemma: should she stand by her bet and become a cleaner, or would she find another way out? Gunther stood anxiously by the door as the medical team carefully transferred his mother into the exclusive VVIP section. The room exuded an air of opulence, a stark contrast to the dilapidated state in which Gunther had found his mother. The medical professionals, now treating her with the utmost care, began their thorough examination. Dr. Joy, although conflicted, had a responsibility to her patient, and her professionalism overcame her internal struggles, pride and ego. She took the lead in coordinating the initial assessment, discussing the medical history with Gunther and gathering crucial information about his mother's condition. Gunther, still overwhelmed by the recent turn of events, couldn't help but feel a mix of hope and anxiety. His mother, frail and vuln
Debra removed her face mask, revealing her stunning features and radiant smile. The room gasped in collective shock, and Ariel was left to deal with the aftermath of this bombshell revelation. Her mind raced with questions, her heart reeling from the discovery that her former lover was now a powerful force in the business world, and that Debra, her former friend, was now his partner in every sense of the word. The room was electric with tension, as the audience struggled to comprehend the magnitude of Gunther's transformation. As Debra stood by the side of Gunther on the podium, a radiant smile on her face, Gunther fell to one knee, his eyes locked on hers. He brought out a small box, opened it, and revealed a stunning diamond ring. The room held its collective breath as he asked, "Would you do me the honor of being my wife?"Debra's response was immediate, her voice filled with joy. "Yes, yes, I would!" she exclaimed, as Gunther placed the ring on her finger. They embraced, their lov
Ariel's mind raced with questions as she tried to piece together the puzzle. She couldn't help but notice the way the woman seemed to command attention, her very presence drawing eyes from all over the room. And yet, she was hiding behind a mask, just like Gunther. What secrets were they hiding, and what did they have to do with the sudden turn of events in Ariel's life?As the evening wore on, Ariel found herself growing more and more uneasy, her eyes darting back and forth between Gunther and the mysterious woman. She knew she had to get to the bottom of this, to uncover the truth behind the mask. And she was determined to do just that, no matter what it took. Little did she know, the night was about to take a dramatic turn, and the revelations would be more shocking than she could ever have imagined.Jane and Michael turned and looked at the lady, their faces etched with curiosity. They seemed to be wondering who she was and what her connection was to Gunther and the Young family.
Jane's expression turned thoughtful. "But we need to be strategic about it. We can't just get up on stage and make the announcement without a plan in place. We need to think about the potential backlash, the Drakes' response, and how we'll handle it all."Gunther nodded, his face set in determination. "I know, Jane. I've already thought about all of that. We'll have a team in place to handle the logistics, and we'll be prepared for any eventuality. But I know one thing for sure - this is our moment, and we're going to make the most of it.”The following day, Jane walked into the courthouse, determined to verify the authenticity of the documents she had received from Lawyer Anthony. She had made an appointment with her trusted lawyer, Mr. Dwayne, to confirm that everything was in order. As she entered his office, she greeted him with a firm handshake and a resolute tone."Hello, Mr. Dwayne. Please, could you confirm that these documents are original and legitimate? I need to know if th
Debra gazed up at Gunther, her eyes filled with trust and confidence. "Okay, I'll wait for the right time," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. She knew that Gunther had a plan, and she was willing to follow his lead. "Just let me know what you want me to know," she added, her words laced with a sense of surrender.Gunther's face softened, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled. He wrapped his arms around Debra, pulling her close in a warm embrace. The tension between them was palpable, a spark of electricity that seemed to crackle in the air. They stood there for a moment, lost in the comfort of each other's arms, the world around them fading into the background. Finally, Gunther reluctantly pulled back, his hands lingering on Debra's shoulders. "I'll take care of everything," he promised, his voice low and husky. "Just trust me, okay?" Debra nodded, her eyes never leaving his face. She knew that Gunther would do whatever it took to protect her, to keep her safe. With
As they hugged, the world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the magic of their rekindled love. They stood there for a long moment, holding each other tight, savoring the warmth and comfort of each other's embrace. And as they finally pulled back, they shared a soft, gentle kiss, sealing their love forever."What took you this long, Gunther?" Debra asked, her voice filled with a mix of emotions - happiness, relief, and a hint of playful teasing. "I had always wanted to be with you, I loved you, even when Ariel treated you as trash. But I didn't want to seem or be perceived as desperate, I wanted you to do the honor as a man. I wanted you to come to me, to choose me, to prove that you truly cared."Gunther's eyes softened, his face filled with regret and gratitude. He took Debra's hand in his, his fingers intertwining with hers in a gentle, loving gesture."At least we are together now, that's the most important thing," he said, his voice filled with convict
"I've missed you, Debra," he said, his voice low and husky, filled with a longing that was hard to ignore. "We haven't really had time to talk well after school, you know. Everyone has been trying to figure out their life, find their place in the world. I guess this was the right time for us to meet again, to reconnect and see where life has taken us."Debra's gaze never wavered, her eyes still locked on Gunther's, searching for any sign of insincerity. But all she saw was a deep regret, a genuine longing to make amends and start anew. She nodded slowly, her voice barely above a whisper."I've missed you too, Gunther. I've thought about you often, wondered what could have been if we had stayed in touch."Gunther's face lit up with a soft smile, his eyes sparkling with hope. "I've thought about that too, Debra. I've thought about what I did, how I hurt you, and I'm so sorry. I want to make it right, to show you that I'm not that same person anymore."Debra's expression softened, her he
Jane's eyes narrowed, her gaze piercing through Gunther's defenses. "Come on, stop deceiving yourself," she said, her voice firm but gentle. "You know who you are, Gunther. You're the richest person in the country. If you want her, you would get her to leave with you. Or do you just want to play around with her, get intimate, and that's all?"Gunther's face darkened, his jaw clenched in response. "You don't understand, Jane. It's not that simple. I can't just buy love or affection. And even if I could, I wouldn't want to. I'm not that kind of person."Jane raised an eyebrow, her expression skeptical. "Really? Then what kind of person are you, Gunther? The kind who lets fear and doubt hold them back from true connection? The kind who settles for superficial relationships because they're afraid to dive deeper?"Gunther's eyes flashed with anger, but Jane could see the hint of truth in her words. She knew she had struck a nerve, and she pressed on, her voice softening."Listen, Gunther.
After a moment, Lawyer Anthony looked up from the computer screen, his eyes fixed on Jane. "I'm done with the typing, Miss Jane," he said, his voice firm but nervous. "It's time for the printing, please. Could you send me some A4 paper?"Jane leaned in to read what he had typed, her eyes scanning the documents quickly. Then, she nodded and took over, doing the printing herself. As the papers emerged from the printer, she handed them to Lawyer Anthony, who began to review them carefully."And where is he supposed to sign?" Jane asked, her eyes scanning the documents.Lawyer Anthony looked up, a hint of confusion in his eyes. "Who is he? I thought you were the one signing," he said, his brow furrowed.Jane shook her head, her eyes locked on Gunther, who was watching the scene with a mixture of curiosity and amusement. "No, it's not me," she said, her voice firm. "It's him."She pointed to Gunther, who raised an eyebrow, his expression unreadable. Lawyer Anthony's eyes widened in surpris
But just as he was about to exit the building, a commotion erupted behind him. The blood of the lawyer who had been hit by the first Mafia boy had begun to roll across the floor, and another lawyer had spotted it, raising an alarm. The building was suddenly in chaos, with people screaming and running in all directions.Panic set in as everyone scrambled to get out of the building, talking frantically on their phones and rushing to safety. The Mafia boy knew he had to act fast, or risk being caught. He quickened his pace, pushing through the crowds and finally bursting out of the exit door into the cool night air.He didn't stop running until he reached the prearranged meeting point, where the other Mafia boys were waiting for him. They quickly transferred the lawyer's body into a waiting van, and sped off into the night, leaving behind a trail of chaos and confusion. The lawyer's family would never see him again, and the Drake company would soon find itself at the center of a deadly s
