Chapter seventy five

Richard decided to take a break from arguing. "I won't argue with you today, son," he said, his serious tone showing how important this was. He put his hand on Gunther's shoulder, expressing care and a wish to understand.

Gunther, torn between resisting and doing what his family expects, looked at his dad with a mix of defiance and vulnerability.

"I appreciate your restraint, father," Gunther replied, his words carrying a nuanced acknowledgment of the temporary truce. "But there are things I must navigate on my own, choices I need to make without the shadows of our surname looming over every decision.”

The big day everyone was waiting for had arrived. A billionaire’s party was set to start at 6pm and go on until morning. The hardworking staff, including waitresses and waiters, were ready to start at 3 p.m., making sure everything was perfectly organized for the evening celebration.

As the clock inexorably ticked towards the designated hour, it was precisely 2:20 p.m.
