Chapter sixteen

In the cold, sterile room, the officers loomed over Gunther, their interrogative glares intensifying. Gunther, though threatened, stood defiant, anchored by the bitter truth, they didn't wwnt to hear.

Just as the officers prepared to escalate their force methods, the nurse burst into the room, presenting the results of the second test. She handed the report to the head investigator, who scanned it with furrowed brows.

"Negative? He tested negative for Molly. He isn't an addict and doesn't take it," the head investigator declared, shattering the tension that had gripped the room.
