72. Anonymous vs The Phantom

Jack Price was on his favorite truss, slowly pacing up and down it.

Brendan wanted to take off his mask and wipe the blood from his ears but the hatred for Jack restrained him, telling him that if he blinked then he would miss every single second of his revenge upon him. The expression on Jack’s face proved that he did not even have the least bit of remorse for what he had done.

‘I’m surprised you came, hero,’ said Jack with not so much as a smile or gesture but his cold dark eyes staring down at Brendan from above. ‘I thought you’d be mourning the death of your beloved teacher right now.’

Looking at Jack now, Brendan felt nothing but an anger that boiled over to the surface. Several times he thought of rushing up the trusses and strangling the life out of his skeleton frame, and dangling the remains over a bridge when he was done. He continued to fantasize on the thousand ways he could kill Jack, but he managed to bring down
