Chapter 1: The Defenders

The fisher men were having great time in the ship after a successful fishing in the sea close to the city of Ralite.

Simeon, the captain of the ship was on the steering to ensure the crew safe dock by the city shore.

The fisher men crew were ten in number.

They were drinking alcoholic drink with hot fish and sauce to prevent cold from the sea.

They had been in the sea for over twenty four hours.

They were now celebrating their successful fishing outing.

The had caught many fishes that will fetch them good revenue.

The ship was some meters from the shore when sudenly wind started blowing intensely from the sea with a terrible wave current towards the ship.

Peeping through the window of the ship, Simeon observed some creatures like wolf coming out of the sea.

They were six in number and very gigantic in size.

They could fly. They flew pass the ship with such mighty wind being felt in the ship. They flied ahead towards the city.

The shape of the six wolf like creatures were terrible and frighten even from distant as they fly towards the city of Ralite.

Dan, come and see these terrible flying creatures advancing towards Ralite city, Simeon shouted!

Dan , one of the crew member on the small dinning rushed to the side window to peep.

He couldn't believe such creatures exist as he watched them flying towards the shore.

The wave current from the sea pushed the ship zig zag. Simeon had to struggle the control of the ship at the steering to keep it on the route.

The wolf like creatures advance towards the beach near to the shore.

There were many people at the beach playing. They were unaware of the demonic creatures advancing towards the coast.

The six wolf like creatures were flying towards the beach to cause human destruction.

The demons had decided to wage war on the city.

As they were approaching the beach to consume and tear people in pieces, three super human creatures from space flew to the scene.

They were dressed in blue, red and green fitted costume.

They prevented the six demonic wolves from attacking the people at the beach.

They fought the demons with their weapons.

The people at the beach on seeing what was going on in the sky near them took to their heels. 

They ran for their dear lives and take cover behind every trees and structures nearby.

The Defenders possessed different weapons. The first defender possessed fire eyes, the second has hammer in his hand and the third carries bow and arrows.

They fought the six wolf like creatures with these weapons. The fight was intensed between the demons and the defenders.

The defender with fire eyes directed his several continuous ray of fire to the first advancing wolf and burn it to ashes.

Two of the remaining wolves flew towards the structures near the beach where people escaped to, to kill them. But the defender with the golden coloured bow and arrows target both of them.

He drew his arrow which pierced through the two wolves at once. They were destroyed and vanished.

Two of the wolves flew towards the city on seeing three already destroyed. 

The defender with hammer weapon was already wrestling the forth wolf like creature. He had punched severally with his weapon. The fight was very intensed as the beast after every punch recovers. The defender with the fire eyes had to fly to the scene to support in the fight.

With both defenders facing the wolf, they were able to destroy the creature after severally ray of fire and hammer blow on it. 

The third defender flew after the two beasts that headed towards the city. He prevented them from attacking the people of the city by engaging them in another round of fight.

He shot severally arrows to them which they were dodging. They saw the destruction his arrow did on the other two beasts so they continue to avoid the arrows.

The other two defenders also flew from the beach to the scene of the fight in the city. The three defenders fought the two remaining beasts gallantly and destroy them. The punches, arrows and fire ray were simultaneously directed on them which they could not withstand. The strength of weapons of the defenders consumed and destroyed the wolves.

The defenders flew back to the beach after they had defeated the demons.

People came out from their hide out to cheer the defenders for the victory over the invaders.

The news had spread.  King Richard, of the city had been informed of the invaders and activities of the defenders to stop their menace.

The king had sent emissary to the defenders to come to the palace to see him.

The envoy rode urgently to the beach to meet the super humans for invite to the palace.

The chamberlain relates the king Richard, message to the defenders in the midst of the crowd cheering them.

They consented to the invitation and followed the envoy to the palace.

King Richard was seated with his chiefs when the guests were brought to him.

The king suspended other matters he was attending to on the announcement of the arrival of the defenders. 

They walked to the front of the king and bow their head in a sign of respect while the king stand up with other chiefs to welcome them.

The king rules and oversees the political affairs of the city.

You are welcome! King greeted the visitors. We are delighted to have you in our city.

We heard what you did at the sea shore and in the city against the invading demons.

We are pleased to have you in our midst at this troubled time.

We hope you are staying back with us for awhile. King Richard inquired.

One of the defenders, fire eyes defender responded to the king remarks and querry.

We are sent to defend your city from demons. We have done that, our mission is accomplished. 

However, we have a precious gift for you from our sender.

He walked towards the king and brought out from his back bag, a small silver coloured knife which he handed to him.

This knife will become a mighty sword in your hand and your desendant going forward when you focus your eye on any invading enemies.

And you will be able to destroy such adversaries with the sword. 

Our mission is completed. We are leaving.

The three men then, walked out of the palace. 

The king, his chiefs with other people followed them as they walked out of the palace.

The three defenders flew into the sky and into the space while the king and his subjects watched.

When the king and the chiefs returned to their seats in the palace, he declares a banquet to celebrate their victory over the demons.

He instructed that invitation should be sent to captain of industries, head of parastatals, ministries, friends and well wishers of the city to attend the banquet.

He further instructed the welfare chief to send gifts to less priviledge people, homes and needies. This is  to demonstrate his government concern and love for them.
