Chapter 5: Destruction Of The Wizard (a)

It was in the forest path way. The king was on the horse with his military combatant uniform.

The horse was on top speed. It has covered a great distant in the forest.

He was riding alone. His army were nowhere near. Thereafter, the horse started reducing it speed, then collapsed.

In a few seconds, king Richard, was on the ground in the forest  He stood up quickly to help the horse but it's damaged in one of the legs.

A tiger was advancing vigorously towards his direction. He realized there was no weapon with him.

What will he do? The horse is wounded, he needed to protect himself from the dangerous beast approaching.

 He ran towards the nearby trees to hide. He climbed the tree for refuge.

The tiger did not see him climb the tree. It passed by looking for him.

While on the tree, he realized that the tiger was not bothered about the horse but was actually on the look out for him.

Some minutes later, he came down from the tree to help the horse with intention that the beast had gone.

Surprisingly, he saw the tiger advancing towards him nearly caught up with him. 

He opened his eye on the bed. It was a dream. The king was seriously terrified. 

He was bothered about the dream and was desperate to know the meaning.

In the morning, the king sent for his parish priest. The priest, reverend Beckley can  interpret dreams. He is gifted.

The king was in the palace with his chiefs when the priest arrived. He had interpreted many dreams for king in the past.

He is in charge of king spiritual matters. The king did not waste time, he narrated the dream to the priest  

When the king completed the narration, the priest kept silent for some minutes before uttering words.

Oh king! Your adversary is returned. But you will surely overcome the enemy. The wizard klofa, you send away from the city three years ago is back in the city.

He is back for revenge. He had gone underworld to get more black magic. 

He is back to the city with more magic to kill you and take your place. 

Oh king! Don't worry. Your God will defend you. You will destroy him with all his magic.

The king breath a sigh of relief at the comforting words of the priest. He is trying to cast spell on you from his base. That's why you had the dream.

 It is God that revealed your enemy to you. Keep doing your good works and you will surely overcome him.

He is currently operating from an abandon coal mine factory facility down town.

Thank you my priest, king said as the priest revealed his location. Afterwards, the priest excused himself from the meeting and returned to the parish.

King pondered over every offence klofa committed before he was forcefully expel from Ralite city with the city military might. 

If they could imprison him then, he would have been in such facility now. But he was able to escape using magic.

The king send for the head of Joint military and police task force Major General Paul Fred, to come to the palace for briefing.

On his arrival, king informed him of the return of the wizard, klofa, into the city. He was told of his location and that he should be captured alive.

He has to face the law of the city for destruction of life and properties through black magic, the king emphasized.

The men of the joint military and police task force swarm into action as soon as the general give the order.

The armed men about 50 of them proceeded to the abandon coal mine factory facility for the operation. Captain Philip led the operation to the facility while the General monitored from military base.

The facility had been abandon for years. The factory is more like a ghost land. A vast land with grass and trees grown over.

The soldiers knew the kind of person they were out after. They were careful in their search. They searched each building in the premises carefully.

When they could not find him, they proceeded to the mine. It is some distant from the buildings. As they approached the mouth of the mine a giant bird, dragon, appeared from the sky.

It started pouring fire on the armed men from it mouth. They laid on the ground with their back and started shooting at the giant bird.

The bullets did not have any serious effect on the bird. Meanwhile, some of the men were already burnt.

Captain Philip had escaped into a structure nearby. And he was calling the base for re-enforcement and medical assistance for his men.

Shortly after, two fighter helicopter had arrived the scene and started shooting their machine guns towards the dragon. The dragon shifted is attention to the choppers.

It started spraying fire towards the aircraft. The two pilots had no option than to withdraw from the scene as the fire power from the dragon can damage the choppers.

Another two trucks brought soldiers into the facility. They helped retrieved the injured men from the scene into the ambulance.

Some of the men were dispatched into the mine to continue the search for Klofa. 

The General had ordered the military fighter jet plane with missile to the scene to combat the dragon.

The dragon chased the two choppers to destroy them. One chopper was badly affected by the fire. The pilot and crew had put on their parachutes when it is cleared the aircraft can't be controlled any longer. The pilot and crew landed safely but the chopper crashed into an open field.

The bird was still chasing and spraying fire towards the second aircraft when the military jet plane show up. The pilot saw what was happening from distant and shot four missiles simultaneously to the dragon which hit it seriously and destroy the creature.

The ground troops carry on in the underground mine searching for the wizard. 

After several hours of search in the mine with no sight of the wizard, Klofa, they returned to the surface and left for their base.

Meanwhile, the wizard is there in the mine cave. He used magic to prevent the soldiers from seeing him.

Having realized that his dragon was destroyed by the military fighter jet, he sent another of his birds to the palace to kill the king.
