Chapter 24 Met Ben Johnson

Walking about ten or fifteen minutes, Tolly saw a little red house at the end of the street. He got the feeling that it must be the girl’s house, for it was the only house that he could see there.

He quickly knocked on the door, but no one came to answer it. He knocked again and then a husky voice was heard.

“Who’s that?” asked the voice of an old man inside.

“Hello, my name is Tolly Harmsworth,” said Tolly politely, “your daughter asks me to come to see her at ten o’clock.”

Suddenly, the door swung open. Before Tolly was an old man with a big beard on his face, staring at Tolly with an unfriendly look.

“What do you want from her?” said the old man angrily. It looked like he didn’t like anyone to visit her daughter since he took anyone who came to look for her daughter as a bastard who wanted to take advantage of her.

“Oh, I bought a Miracle Herbal Pancake at her stall,” said Tolly.
