"It's about time they come back," Zion thought as he waited at Verdantial Academy.

By this time, only a few people remained in the academy, as most of the students and some instructors had returned to their respective families.

The affairs in Verdantia were in a dire state; the rebellion of the Shadowfen family and Stormcaller family had created a significant impact.

It had been some time since the rebellion started, but they had yet to make a move against the Evergreen family.

This rebellion led some families to declare neutrality. Queen Evergreen announced that families wishing to remain neutral had the right to do so without repercussions.

She also declared every family independent and allowed those who wished to ally with the Evergreen family to do so freely.

Of the six great families not part of the rebellion, none had yet formed an alliance with the Evergreen family, focusing instead on enhancing their territories' defenses since war in Verdantia seemed inevitable.
