THE GENIUS REBORN

Phantasm Slasher was one of the few monstrous geniuses that appeared inside the abyss battlefield if compared then he was considered of a higher caliber than the likes of Tony and Mark because for them the existence of their master who was there to guide them and more importantly was a dithering force that forced all of their competitors to only face them inside the abyss battlefield and never use any underhand means and with the strength and abilities that Tony and Mark had having a winning streak is a simple thing, but for the Phantasm Slasher who was a lone wolf that didn't associate with anyone, it was quite hard to advance inside the abyss battlefield.

Yet not only did he advance there easily, the Phantasm Slasher even had one of the longest winning streaks which reached 42 wins, this led to him becoming arrogant and refusing to join any dojo, company, or family. He even refused some of the worlds renewed Grandmasters to become a disciple under their wing, for that many believed that he won't have a good ending because the water runs too deep inside the abyss battlefield and all the parties that have a share there will never leave an outsider to gain nothing from them and that's what happened in the end.

Not many know the actual story that the genius Phantasm Slasher ended up offending the heiress of the Adira family which belongs to the three Ancient families, two dojos, and five companies. That represents the 10 strongest powers in the world at the moment and has a hand in every possible field, even with the Earth Federation they got saying which indicates how much power they hold because be it wealth, history, fame, or Strength they lack none.

When the Phantasm Slasher won his 35 matches against another genius at that time all the organizations in the top 100 around the world couldn't ignore him anymore and many sent him an olive branch while promising in return many benefits like resources and the ability to spare with strong martial artist and exchange insights with them, yet he refused to join anyone saying that he likes to be free and not chained with ani restrictions. Some accepted his decision while others didn't like the Adira family which saw this as a slap in the face and started plotting against him the genius who shocked the world ended up ruined for good and disappearing from the worldview.

"Man you disappeared for good and refused no matter what to show yourself so why did you appear in front of me" Tony couldn't wrap his mind around the reason the forgotten genius appeared before him was it just fate or something else.

"Don't think too much about it if you know that you're the real Mad Demon I would never have showed myself"

"No, what I want to know is why did you reveal your real identity" this surprised Silent Shadow since even he didn't know why he said his identity that easily even though he was hiding it for almost 10 years now.

"You can say it was my broken pride that led me to that" he then turned around preparing to leave only to hear Tony saying something that was like being stuck with lightning to him.

"Is she still alive?" Those simple words brought a shock a hundred times more than when he knew Tony is the Mad Demon. He suddenly came back to his senses and the most terrifying killing intent that a human can master exploded from him.

It was so much that the two sisters and villagers became pale as their bodies started shivering as if they were in a glacier. None of them could even move an inch, especially his cold eyes which like an awakened behemoth staring at a prey made even lose hope of living.

Even Tony was surprised because the killing intent coming from him was actually greater than anything he ever did, the difference between them was Tony's killing intent was great but not taking a form while Silent Shadow killing intent was already taking a shape and can affect even those with a strong will.

"How do you know about this" each word was spoken at the time coupled with his cold voice it was as a voice coming from hell.

"My master knows about it and he told me the whole story" Tony didn't even bother with his killing intent and anger as if it got nothing to do with him, his reply actually calmed Silent Shadow as he returned to his normal self but his face still looked colder than ice.

"You're one of the few that I respect from the bottom of my heart so I'll be completely honest with you the thing that happened to your lover are all because of you"

"Don't talk about something you have no experience in, kid" replied Silent Shadow while gritting his teeth to the point of almost shattering them from the sheer anger that's building inside his heart.

"If you believe that because of my master alone that I have a different experience than you I can only say that you're an idiot" for the first time since talking to him Tony tone carried no respect even his eyes have some disgust ", yeah my master is a help for me couldn't you do the same because from what I know the Emperor Speed Start was the most that wanted to take you as a legacy disciple and he promised that he'll protect you from everything, yet you refused him many times if you said yes no problem would have happened because even if the Adira family got more balls they would never offend the Emperor Speed Start" the more Tony talked the angrier Silent Shadow gets because everything he said was true. If he accepted the offer of the Emperor Speed Start his wife would never have been harmed and he wouldn't be in his current miserable state.

"Besides that you a lone wolf showed a great ability yet wanted no one to control you it was obvious that they won't let you and your destruction was immense, you saw how they threatened your lover yet you thought they won't go to law to use women against you and that's your second mistake"

"Your third one is when they forced her in that state your spirit was broken and you didn't fight back as if you forgot that in the abyss battlefield you can acquire anything and the cure for your lover should be easy but you didn't do that and actually attacked the headquarter of the Adira family which is hard even for someone like my master to do yet you let your anger and their provocative to get the better of you and here you're a broken genius who is looked down at" As he reached there Tony shakes his head "your problems are not your injuries or your lover situation the issue is with your own heart the guilt and regrets are tormenting you to the point of you losing you pervious identity just to have your current self"

All Tony words were like a bomb to Silent Shadow heart, he lowered his head and said pitifully "everything you said is correct because of the regrets I experience I wished nothing more than if time went back and I has chosen a different choice maybe everything will turn out to be good".

It was as if he was asking both Tony and his himself only to hear him laughing while his eyes field with disappointment "it seems they truly broke you beyond repair for you the amazing Phantasm Slasher of the past to say something pitiful like this" 

"Let me ask you a question if you of the past were to meet the current you what would you think of yourself" the question was out of the blue yet it shocked him greatly because he never thought of that.

"I'll tell you what he'll think" without giving him any chance to speak Tony answered the question "first you'll bit the shit out of your current self and you'll curse your current self because the real Phantasm Slasher is not such a weak creature that he'll regret what he did instead of looking for a solution" those words when they fall in Silent Shadow ear as if he was sent into 

a big storm as his whole being started shaking and his eyes are field with disbelief.

"The problem was you doubting yourself which led to you losing all confidence and your warrior's heart died just like that, now the current you aren't even worthy of me using 30% of my strength to end you so why don't set yourself free and bring back the Phantasm Slasher or just fuck off to the whole you were hiding in".

Inside Silent Shadow mind many scenes were playing and the doubtful voice that tormented him the last years grow louder but as soon as Tony said the last word it was as if he was hammered and all those scenes started shattering and that voice died down as he finally remembered the last time the Emperor Speed Start talked to him "If a martial artist didn’t have a fearless heart, then he would never be able to become a true warrior. If you didn’t have the heart of a true warrior, how would you make the world tremble underneath your foot?"

He raised his head to the sky and took a true deep long breath before releasing all the air and his worries outside of his body, as if his whole being changed he was standing there proudly with a confident smile and clear eyes as if he was reborn.

"Kid these days have no respect for their elderly huh," he said with a grateful smile to Tony

"Well the previous you didn't qualify for my respect but your current self is worthy of my respect"
