"Thank you auntie!"

The children with their dirty and malnourished little faces looked up at the couple with gleaming eyes.

Brooklyn had never been surrounded by so many children before and was naturally scared. Levi noticed this and he laughed but held her.

A woman in tattered clothes walked up to them holding a child in terrible condition. The child appeared old but for some reason, she was small and weak.

"Thank you sir. Thank you ma. God bless your kind souls," The woman's eyes was shimmering with tears.

Brooklyn was startled. She burrowed into Levi's embrace and asked hesitantly, "Don't cry... It's alright. You have food now."

"Ma, my child has not had any proper meal for three days. In fact, her health is very bad but I dare not go to the pharmacy or hospital because I do not have any money."

Levi reached out into his pocket and brought out the dollar notes in it. He gave the money to her.

"Here, take this. Make sure you take your child to the hospital tomorrow
