029: Promise Me One Thing
"Uncle," Levi called out as he walked to the counter. The grocery store was scanty and the grocer was going through his records when he called.

As soon as the man looked up and recognized him, his eyes lit up. "Levi, did you forget about our agreement? Where is the ring?"

Levi placed his palm on the counter and the grocer stared at the ring greedily.

"Uncle, I have come to repay my debts today but not with the ring. How much do I owe you?"

The gleam in the man's eyes disappeared in an instant. He stood up angrily.

"What do you mean? Our agreement was for you to repay me with the ring."

Levi tried to pull off the ring and told him, "Since the ring isn't coming off, we'll go with other alternatives or perhaps, you would like to do me a favor and write off my debts."

"Never!" The grocer was completely blinded with greed. "If it doesn't come off..."

He brought out a sharp knife he uses only on vegetables.

Levi was taken aback, "What are you doing uncle?"

He tried to take a step backwards
