"Oh, you are back," The old man looked up from the armchair he was sitting on and tipped his glass. He glanced at the wall clock.

"It's so late and you are just returning. Did you work overtime again?"

Brooklyn knew if she admitted it, she was going to get an earful of words but she needed to find Levi first so she just ignored his questions and used his own words against him.
