187: Once And For All

The car was in the water and could no longer be controlled. James lifted his hands off the steering wheel and made eye contact with Levi.

The car was sinking at a terrifying speed with no sign of stopping. Cold sea water was seeping in and threatening to cover their mouths and noses.

James understood Levi's silent signal and began to reach towards the neck pillow of the car seat. There was still a way to save themselves.

Levi patted Lincoln's face and his eyes flickered open. He struggled to say, 'I'm fine' but the sea water flooded his senses and that horrifying terror was back.

Seeing him falling out of consciousness, Levi decided this won't happen. The deeper the car sank, the higher the water pressure would be. They had to break out of the car and he had to save Lincoln before he went completely limp.

If only this stubborn rascal had agreed to leave San Jose earlier, he wouldn't be caught up with him in this mess.
