Chapter 210

The door opened, and Elijah went into the room.

He was stunned by what he saw. It looked like an actual room, alright—none of that hospital-based setting.

His mother had a real bed, a wardrobe, and a dressing table. The room was so big it even contained a space for a second bed for the nurse.

“Wow!” He yelled out.

“Do you like it?” Tobias asked expectantly behind him.

“Like it? It's amazing! You both did so well!” He gave them each a thumbs up, cheesing harder than they had ever seen him.

He was like a little boy all over again. Looking closer, you could see the faintest hint of tears in his eyes.

“Do you want to see your mum now?” Nurse asked.

He moved closer and stood in front of her bed. The room had been set at the right temperature. She was breathing fine again.
