The entrances to the Trust mansion were mounted by two hefty security officials guarding the ushers who checked the guests in. Since the fundraiser was always strictly by invite, to enter, you had to show the text you got.

The whole process was quite annoying to many of the elites. Mostly because they were bidding for things with money that would end up going to charity. They didn't understand why anyone would sneak their way into the mansion just to spend money.

It didn't help that a select few within these elites were never checked. They were the one percent of the City. No matter how rich one was, they could never outbid these guys. And everywhere, one person from the normal rich sector did try to flex their muscles. It always ended up in humiliation but never stopped another one from trying.
