"You're a good man Howie," Elijah said as the big man led him towards Kingston's room.

"You even saved your friend from a beating. How kind of you." He stetched his hands to pat the man's shoulder, but he flinched in fright.

"What? I'm not going to hurt you. We're friends now right?" He raised a quizzical brow.

"Su--re." He stuttered.

"Good. I'll take it from here." He said, offering him a genuine smile.

He had barely completed his words when Howie turned around, and hurried away. He chuckled at the sight the giant of a man presented, running from someone who was considerably smaller than him.

Suddenly, he felt a little bit of pity for him. His eyes went to his boots and he shrugged. "Didn't think you were that hard to be honest."

But when his eyes returned to the door that separated him from the person he truly wanted to hurt, it darkened.

"Bastard." He cursed silently, pushing it open.
