Chapter Two

Into the woods

The first scenario started, everyone was running heading straight into the forest, run run run that was the message. 

I finally made it, breathing heavily. I checked my HP at 70 percent, I lost 30 percent when fighting those lv 1 monsters, but I made 165 coins, time to put my efforts into use. When I open my system I locate and click on the store . I smirked when I saw it, back in the real world playing level up you need a map to easily navigate through the forest. 

This is bad, looking at the items. The map I actually wanted is gold, GoldenMap and it was 1500 coins to purchase it, the other map goes for 145 coins. biting my lip. 

This is bad because the ordinary map shows just the landmarks of the forest, but the GoldenMap shows everything, hidden treasures, magic items, it will also show the other players as they move. I had no choice but to purchase the ordinary map, I also bought pepper spray for 10 coins. 

What next, should I pick up a ring and start running? How fast can I go if I pick up a ring the other players will come after me. I am not in a position to engage in any battle. I will ignore the magic ring and first find a way to increase my HP, XP, and PL and I know who can help with that.

I quickly rushed, moving so carefree to a particular spot where I would find her. I waited a little bit and suddenly I heard a shout. A lady was coming towards me screaming, she held me. 

"Help me!" She cries out. I stood my ground, "who are you," I asked the guy who was after her. I have no business with you, just give me back my prey," he replied. 

Lucky for me he was alone as predicted he was so confident picking a fight with someone having the same level of power when he was about to attack I attacked first with my pepper spray. 

The spray damaged his eyes "what did you do, I will come back for you and I will surely kill you," ranting as he ran away. 

I turned to the little girl "why are you looking at me like that?" I didn't like her look. "You used a pepper spray," 

"Yes, that's the only weapon I can use right now, for I am weak as you," I replied to her. "Hey you ran towards this direction because you knew you would be safe, right?" I asked her. "Yes, who are you?" 

"My name is Fejize" when I checked her profile

She is the lady I have been waiting for. I need her ability, thinking deeply. Rem said, "hey you are that so-called weakling dude," pointing her finger out. My soul almost left me when I heard her call me weakling. 

But I later remembered, she is the same girl they bullied back in the town dragging her hair. I remembered because of her blue hair, there we became friends. She told me about her friend Sussy and that she needed some help. We both fled down to the scene when I saw her. My heart moved. She is beautiful.

"Sussy," Rem called her. "I brought a new friend, he saved me." I looked around my mouth wide open. Sussy had knocked down 6 guys with her bare hands  and she had five rings. 

"Hey," I point at the rings. "You have five rings in your possession, isn't that dangerous? You are going to draw a lot of attention." Sussy raised her voice and said "Let them come, I will take them on." I looked at her fist, it was hard I could feel her strength. 

Sussy offered me to join their guild. I accepted, 3 players just formed a clan. Right there we suddenly felt the presence of someone. We turned above us. Standing on a tree is the main character of the story, Suho, the samurai. I smiled looking at him and this thought came across me "you were late," I said. "If you want Rem you will have no choice but to join our guild." 

Sussy was ready for a fight, her energy started increasing. I feel bad about it, he's not the type to pick up a fight because of a ring but I can sense a fend between them. 

"Poof!" He disappeared, this atmosphere calmed down. "Sussy that was intense, you made a serious face, it was scary," I said. 

"Really, was it that bad, sorry," said Sussy, she smiled and brightened her face. "I thought he came for Rem."

 Sussy said, "I don't think so, I think he got attracted to my bad blood." "What do you mean?" I asked. "My class type is berserker, sorry I didn't inform you before you join the guild," Sussy explained. 

I said "Oh yes that reminds me, I didn't see your class type, I was about to ask you." "That is because I held it, only me can see it," said Sussy. 

"No one wants to be friends with a berserker type because of our bad blood and uncontrollable rage inside us. We are feared by others, people hate us, they resist us, I know we will have killed a lot but there is still good in us," Sussy explained. She walked and sat on the root of a tree. 

She continued "this has led to countless wars from generation to generation with other types especially the samurai type, we are only looking for a place to call home where there is peace." She put her head down, she shut her eyes, "right now, we are only a slave that's why I entered this game to seek for peace." 

This is deep, I said thinking. "Her face looks so bright I never knew she was carrying so much weight on her shoulder, playing the game Suho the main character saved Rem, they both formed a guild, Suho travel with Rem, Rem was his sight, but from what I just heard I don't think Suho will join us anytime soon." 

I walked to Sussy, I bent down and held her hands. It was soft, not even hard as I imagined it to be. She looked at me. I said "I am glad I met you the moment I saw you I knew you were a good girl I saw how you defend Rem from those guys, the blood that runs through this veins are precious, unique, thank you for allowing me join your guild for I will help you to find peace and set your people free."

I gave her some prep talk while holding her hands. It was so magical. I had never been this close to a lady, Rem joined in and hugged us. It was warm. I am starting to enjoy it here.

20:27:06 before the first scenario end

We have been running and avoiding possible threats, we were getting exhausted. Sussy has been the one using all her strength, I feel bad for not helping that much, we take cover to rest a little. 

"Do you think we can make it alive like this?" I asked. "What are you thinking?," asked Sussy. "Well I was thinking of upgrading myself before engaging in any battle, and I am thinking the same thing for us," I explained. 

"This forest has some items that will help us level up."

 "That would be a great ideal but how do we find those items?" Sussy asked. I said "I bought a map but it's not good enough, that's where Rem comes in with her future sight she can see everything in this area." 

She was helpful, when Rem used her ability she saw every player, their current position and also some hidden monsters. We couldn't move ahead because according to Rem there were intense fights ahead so we headed South. 

We were going into a cave to fight a dragon I didn't agree with the plan to go slay the dragon but Sussy became excited when she heard about the dragon, she grew the appetite to kill it I couldn't convince her, it wasn't bad either if we can pull it off we can get huge reward from it. 

When we reached the dragon house we saw a girl standing at the entrance of a cave. She told us that her friends had gone in to fight the dragon but she thought they were all dead, and she was afraid to go inside to confirm. She doesn't look like someone who has been fighting for survival for the past two hours. Her profile;

It was up to her to decide if she is going to tag along, besides we needed more arms for what we are going up against is extremely powerful, so she joined us.
