After discussing a few matters with Bert, Bin went to his room but did not sleep. Every night, he would fiddle with the dragon scale. Ever since he destroyed the Blood Facility, the scale was dormant. It still has an astronomical amount of Mana, however, it was no longer reacting to any of his attempts, meaning that he can no longer draw Mana from it.
‘Tis for this reason that, despite getting his hands on it, Paulo did not keep it. He could have hired a team of experts and tried to figure out a solution but that would complicate his relationship with Bin, after all, the scale didn’t belong to Paulo to begin with.
This small part of the dragon was enough to eradicate the Blood Facility along with everyone in it, it's a priceless magical artifact, unbreakable and highly sought after by the public and secret organizations. Unfortun
There will be another chapter in a bit. Stay tuned and thanks for reading!
“Hey… what are they talking about?”Cara nudged Melissa’s shoulder and pointed at Bin and Melissa with her chin. The two were walking a couple of meters ahead and seemingly discussing something, which is a rare thing to see considering that Bin likes to keep his distance from them.In response, the golden-haired girl smiled but did not speak, she secretly glanced at Rika. Melissa was the only one who knew that her friends harbored feelings of affection toward Bin. It has been the case for a long time but due to the complicated circumstances, she didn’t have the chance to confess.Bin is currently busy hunting Regina and finding information about the Psy
Bin wanted to find San Hyeon, but not before exacting a small revenge on Anwar and his delinquent gang. After he left the old gymnasium, he circled to the back and used a tiny bit of his Blue Fire, igniting the stone and cement.Logically, such tough materials should be resistant to fire, but only the normal fire, not the one created by Magic. Bin only used a small amount but it was enough as it spread relatively quickly, causing black smoke to rise in the air and invade the interior, alarming the students lurking inside. The incident was minor and the fire was extinguished after a few minutes, however, both the Dean and Thomas’ old secretary quickly arrived. The teachers and everyone working for Thomas obviously knew that Anwar and many other students would ditch clas
“Tonight?”“Why? Are you busy?”Bert was looking at his reflection in the mirror while fixing his mirror. He called for Bin at sunrise and informed him about the matter concerning Bridget, who’s been spotted in Ardan City and is currently in a perilous situation. The girl is chased by both the International Magic Bureau and the gangsters and magic-users of the underworld.Ardan city is a big city, as big as Weij city, and is divided between two of the three underworld bosses. One is Francois, Melissa’s father, and the other is an ex-convict, a drug dealer who rose to power around seven years ago, an American man by the name of Sirian Redcliff.“Is it that urgent?”
Emilia exited the firefighter building, her head still dropped and an expression of sadness and guilt plastered on her face. Technically, she did not lie to Julia and today’s attempt was not a trick, it was purely to have a normal breakfast with her son. But, what she didn’t anticipate was Bin’s reaction, which was more extreme than ever before. He was totally adamant on looking or talking to her, much less going with her. She knew that it won’t be easy but, nonetheless, as his mother, who loved him dearly, it pained her greatly. With slow and unsteady steps, she made her way to her car and, at first, failed to hear someone calling her from behind.“Madam Emilia!”Julia raised her
“Thank you…”Emilia faintly smiled at Bryan, who clumsily made a sandwich made of butter and put on her plate. She looked at the sandwich then snuck a glance at the motionless and quiet Bin.“Ann and I found out how to recover your digestive system. If you want to, we can-”“No I don’t. To begin with-”Just like he cut-off his mother, Julia interrupted Bin with a piercing glare and a kick to his knee. Noticing her obvious signals, Bin changed what he was about to say, simply uttering“No, thank you.”“Okay. If you change your mind,
His consciousness was hazy and his eyes were bloodshot, fixated only on one thing. There were frightening and surprised cries from all around him, but he paid them no heed. His hand soaked with blood yet they kept moving, clenched into fists and doing the same thing, over and over again. There was but one thing in his mind, ‘kill’, it repeated itself like a broken disk, with a clarion voice that belonged to himself.****In class, Melissa kept rambling about his lover and how she was resourceful enough to fish out the details in just one day. After going on about that for half an hour, the golden-haired girl snorted and turned her attention to her phone, watching videos to relieve her boredom. As f
After getting blown away by Rika’s magic, Bin was motionless, kneeling on the ground and dazedly staring to the front. Both his prosthetic hand and his left hand were bloodied, but, apart from that, his body was not injured, not in the slightest bit.Jasmine and Rika tentatively made their way toward him, clearly noticing his strange behavior, which definitely out of the norm. In fact, it’s the first time Jasmine has seen Bin act like this, so violent and savage, his actions filled with the intent to kill and nothing else.“Bin?”Softly, Jasmine called out for him yet again but the young man was unresponsive, his eyes hollow and his breathing uneven. Unfortunately, before any more progress could have been made, another person appeared in the gymnasium
“So, what happens now?” Declared Bert, biting his slightly burn lips. It seemed Akane, his secretary, brought him not just a hot coffee but a boiling large cup filled with overly-sweet chocolate milk.“What do you mean? There’s nothing I could have done.”“What about that- err, what did you call it? Sensation? Do you think it’ll resurface?”Although they were talking about something that happened to him, Bin was just as oblivious as Bert. He spread his hands and shrugged his shoulders, opting to answer with silence rather than speak baselessly.“If you ever feel the need
Bin’s eyes fluttered then slowly opened. He felt weight on his thighs and chest and when he looked down, he saw Jasmine sound asleep. She had a habit of hugging him in the middle of sleep and half of her body would be pressed against his. It has been a year and a half since they started dating and the embarrassment of sleeping naked or half-naked was no more. Their relationship only got better and they even moved to a new place with Nina, though it wasn’t far from Emilia and Elise. He wasn’t interested in getting a proper job, nevertheless, he did find an entertaining habit, which was quickly developed. With Jasmine’s support and Bert’s countless acquaintances, Bin had opened a cozy small café in a relatively empty street. It wasn’t the best of locations, but he did not care. Bin was fo
Brule River Boreal Forest State, Russia. The forest, excluding wild beasts, was generally devoid of humans. However, today, it was the total opposite. The Russian Government dispatched its military and barricaded the huge region. Jets were flying through the air, trying to scout the ground and eliminate the legions of Pests stationed around the river and in-between the countless trees. However, the most eye-catching thing was the crimson crack hanging in the sky, its blood-red light outshining even the sun. Its mere presence brought for a foreboding and eerie atmosphere as well as a thick fog of the same color. Although well-equipped, the Russian Government did not act recklessly or rashly. They kne
“I won’t be away for long, okay?” “Promise?” Nina, looking a bit sad, lowered her head and tried not to cry. To appease her, Bin gave her a tight hug and repeatedly reassured her that everything will be alright. It has been ten days since his return to Earth and though no one forced him to act, he deemed now as the right time to get rid of the Rifts once and for all. Fortunately, there were no spotted Rifts in M-nation, therefore, Bin would soon have to leave for other countries. “Next time, I’ll bring you to fun places! I will bring gifts back with me, too!” Jasmine also hugged Nina and playfully pulled her c
“Sorry for the wait.”-Angelica “It’s fine.” Replied Bin as he sat back down next to Jasmine and smiled at her parents. While they discussed things, he spent some time chatting with the servants and managed to clear things up with Hyue. It was a good decision to come here and mend past relationships now that he was moving on and turning a new leaf. Unlike earlier, Theodore looked calmer but he was still glaring at him. As for Angelica, her expression was never-changing and, as always, unreadable. “My husband and I are not against your relationship, Bin. I only ask that you take good care of her.” “It shall be done, Madam.” “It better do! If I hear
Bin and Jasmine walked for a while before they returned to the car.“I should be the one ‘walking you home’. Sadly, I don’t have a driver’s license.”Bin sighed and watched as she drove him back to the villa. The trip back home felt brief as they talked on the way, but when they reached their destination, the two were silent.“If you have nothing to do, let’s meet tomorrow.” Suggested Bin as he looked at the white-haired Silver Dragon.Of course, Jasmine agreed with a meek nod. As he was about to get off, she abruptly stretched her arm and grabbed his, thus making him halt his actions.“Jasmine?”
Late at night, after the family had dinner and everyone retreated to their rooms, Bin went downstairs and, as he had expected, found Emilia in the kitchen. She absent-mindedly looked at the dining table and not even his arrival was noticed. Only when he pulled a chair and sat right next to her did she twitch and look at him. “Mother, you’re still worried?” He faintly smiled and gently grasped her hands, which eased the frown on her face. “How can I not be when my son refuses to listen to reason? Everytime, I get to see you for a brief time and then you leave.” “
Barely half a day after he woke up, Bin was in perfect health. However, Ann insisted that stays for two additional days, to which he nodded in obedience. As expected, he received many visits from Bert and the rest. Elise and, especially, Emilia, came every couple of hours to check on him and bring food. “Umm… so, there’s a matter that warrants an explanation. But, I think it’s better to wait till you come home.” Elise, fidgeting, peeled an orange while uttering those vague words. “It would have been better if you stayed silent.” “I was just warning you. At least, that way, you won’t be as surprised. Just brace yourself… okay?” Life as A Servant
When Bin finally regained his consciousness and opened his eyes, he found himself in an overly-extravagant and spacious hospital room. He took a couple of seconds to look around before slowly sitting up.He wasn’t particularly injured and the overwhelming exhaustion he was subjected to prior and after opening the portal was completely gone, fortunately.“Bin.”Somewhat softly called out to him, thus did his gaze jump to the source of the voice. He was facing Elise, Emilia, and, unexpectedly, the now grown-up Ryne. The three were sitting on a wide leather sofa and chatting quietly only to be startled by his sudden awakening. His mother ran to his side and supported him, fearing that he was experiencing pain. Life as A Servant
“Hurry up, Bin!” Although she was fending off the horde of Pests, Jasmine could not fight forever. She remained close to Bin and continuously swung her sword at any incoming enemies. At the same time, Bin was strengthening his connection with the white crystal. Slowly but surely, a gentle wave of white light flowed from within his body and started taking the shape of a human-sized portal. Unfortunately, Jasmine was reaching her limits and ended up getting blasted far away. Her body crashed on the ground and rolled a couple of times. Although she hastily got back on her feet and ran back, it wasn’t fast enough to stop the Pests from reaching Bin. With all his concentration focused on the connection, Bin could not defend himChapter 495 : Reunion
