After getting blown away by Rika’s magic, Bin was motionless, kneeling on the ground and dazedly staring to the front. Both his prosthetic hand and his left hand were bloodied, but, apart from that, his body was not injured, not in the slightest bit.
Jasmine and Rika tentatively made their way toward him, clearly noticing his strange behavior, which definitely out of the norm. In fact, it’s the first time Jasmine has seen Bin act like this, so violent and savage, his actions filled with the intent to kill and nothing else.
“Bin?”
Softly, Jasmine called out for him yet again but the young man was unresponsive, his eyes hollow and his breathing uneven. Unfortunately, before any more progress could have been made, another person appeared in the gymnasium
“So, what happens now?” Declared Bert, biting his slightly burn lips. It seemed Akane, his secretary, brought him not just a hot coffee but a boiling large cup filled with overly-sweet chocolate milk.“What do you mean? There’s nothing I could have done.”“What about that- err, what did you call it? Sensation? Do you think it’ll resurface?”Although they were talking about something that happened to him, Bin was just as oblivious as Bert. He spread his hands and shrugged his shoulders, opting to answer with silence rather than speak baselessly.“If you ever feel the need
“Bert! Quickly! Drive faster!”Bin was sitting behind, next to the injured Bridget. He kept looking to the back, at three black cars chasing after them. They appeared right after they left Ardan City and have been tailing them for a few minutes, though only a minute ago did they start speeding, clearly trying to catch up to them.“Can’t you do something as well?”“What?!” Snapped back Bin, giving the slim ban a deadly glare.“You think we’re in a movie or what? How am I supposed to stop them while I’m in a moving car?”“Then I suggest we fight! I don’t want my dear Mercedes to be
Slowly but surely, Bridget became fully conscious and able to talk normally, without stopping mid-sentence to take deep breaths or somewhat stuttering.“I can sense three following us.”“And I can smell four.” Corrected Bin, looking to his rear but seeing nothing but the looming darkness of the farm’s spacious fields.“And they don’t seem to belong to the Bureau.” Bin took a deep breath and found a hidden spot, where he gently put down the girl. “Anywho, it doesn’t matter who they are. I need to get them off of my back. Stay here and don’t make any sound.”“Wait! They’re magic-users.” Warned the girl, clearly worried that
Though it took him quite a bit of effort, Bin was able to eliminate the four pursuers. It cost him a frightening and gaping wound in his chest, but it was worth it. He reloaded his handgun and made sure all of them are lifeless before leaving the area, soon reuniting with Bridget. The girl, as instructed, didn’t move or make any sound. She leaned against a big boulder and patiently waited for his return. When she spotted the incoming silhouette, the auburn-haired girl tensed up, thinking that it’s one of the enemies.Only when Bin’s pale face became clearer did she relax. Upon seeing the wound on his chest, Bridget’s pupils constricted and her breathing became much heavier.“Your chest…”
“You look even worse than yesterday.”Bridget was now able to walk albeit at a slow pace. She kept one hand pressed again her abdomen and used the other to hold a stick, with which she’d sometimes rest her weight. It has been thirty hours since she was saved, and, in total, Bin fought three times. The first time was against those four magic users whereas the second and third time occurred the next day. He managed, of course, to kill them but his body sustained more injuries. The prosthetic arm was malfunctioning, the gaping hole in his chest became slightly bigger and had traces of the Darkness element around it, indicating that the skin was either poisoned or corrupt, both of which are fatal to a normal human being.Bin laughed it off and shrugged his shou
“Sir…”The agents looked at their superior, seeking advice. The appearance of Bin was shocking, to say the least. His upper body was still exposed, the skin blackened and the gaping hole revealing his ribs made even the strong-willed shudder. The man who shouted at Bin, named Burne Gerrard, frowned and stared at the youth surrendering youth. Before he ordered the agents to make a move, he first probed the youth and discovered a considerable amount of Mana, a dangerously threatening quantity that further intensified his alertness.“Officer, sir, I’m surrendering. Look, my hands are raised and I’m fatally injured.”“You were sightseeing like this? You expected me to bel
“We’re not here to discuss how the Bureau operates. You’re an accomplice, possibly an ally, of a fugitive, someone fleeing from the law after committing many a crime. It would be beneficial for you to speak the truth and be released as soon as possible. Would you not agree, Bin?” Jeremy eyed the snickering youth, frowning and making his tone more domineering and authoritative. “I know that you cannot be working for Regina. Your recent actions prove that you want her dead as much as we, however, that doesn’t mean we condone everything you do. Be sensitive and cooperative.” “Sensitive? But I am sensitive, Officer, sir. I- being a law-abiding and peace-loving citizen - gave my full and detailed statement though I doubt it’ll be taken into account due to the prejudice you
Although Jasmine knew Bridget, she still felt suspicious of the girl. The bespectacled Ann, on the other hand, rushed to Bridget’s help. The young, slim, and short female doctor wasted no time in unnecessary discussions and immediately started patching up the unconscious girl. Ann was stopped by no one, Emilia lent her a hand while everyone else stood in the back, whispering to each other and sometimes glancing at the doctors. Bert Polars slumped on the couch and closed his eyes, yearning for a long nap. Sadly for him, neither Jasmine nor Julia spared him, the two bombarding him with questions, begrudging glares, and not-so-gentle nudges. “We should go rescue Bin!” Jasmine seemed unable to stay still, she wa
